The reason for death and suffering is to experience life and joy. If you were immortal you'd be bored. When you die you respawn as a new person. The question is... is your next life going to be on Earth? or somewhere else in the Universe?
>>41750960Suffering was not made to sharpen pleasure. It was made to erode lies.
suffering is a psychological barrier to accomplishment
>>41750960I don't mind the occasional suffering but I wouldn't want to respawn, at least not without retaining my memories and personality.
The ultimate end...The final solution...Conscious subtraction...From ones self...Something uncommon becomes...Common...Not to do moar...But try to do less...This pisses off alot of people...Deal with it...
>>41750960Ok, here's what; I'm a lich, I know enough to make you inmoral, do you eanna be inmoral?
>>41750960>If you were immortal you'd be bored.Nonsense. Diminishing joy returns is a feature of samsara. You can be ever-increasingly joyful doing all things, one thing, or no thing in the spiritual realm.
what if we are not the centre of the universe, bros? Earth wasn't
>>41750960the suffering/imbalance is like a distress signal to alert you that something isn't quite right hereit will get louder and louder until you wake up
>>41750960This is a logically incorrect question.Without preserving personality, attitudes and views on what a person liked and desired are meaningless if they no longer exist. It might as well be asking, "Would you like for someone else to be born on Earth, throughout its entire history?" Where who it would be and when is irrelevant—it could be a trilobite, a dinosaur, a chicken, a rat, or even a human, without specifying the available moment in time, environment, or state. This is stupid.
>>41750960I'd rather be bored than have another stupid nigger say this stupid nigger idea again.
>>41750960>If you were immortal you'd be boredBoredom is a function of receptor downregularion from neurotransmitter overactivation. There is no reason a non-physical being would feel boredom.>As above, so belowOkay, well, given that suffering Below sucks, suffering Above sucks, and I would much rather be bored through mild amusement for eternity than dealing with garbage.
