Hey /x/, I think I have some sort of sixth sense, but in a way that's rarely helpful, and I can't really tell anyone I know about it because it sounds retarded.
I'm about 80% sure I have some sort of low-level clairvoyance, usually just before something bad happens. I've used this to avoid being electrocuted, traffic accidents, and rotten produce.
This warning takes the form of a small fit of dissociation, sort of like my brain was yanked out for a second and cleaned off.
I haven't really found a practical use for it, but it has saved my life a few times. (Which is practical enough for me.)
The problem is that I have no charisma at all, and any time I try to warn anyone, they don't believe me, and then pretend I didn't warn them when something bad happens to them. As in they pretend I never said anything to them at all.
Is there a name for this type of horseshit, or am I up the creek without a paddle on this one?
If it helps, I was dead for a few minutes when I was 9, not for too long, but I'm starting to think that might've messed me up a little.
To answer any questions about if I saw anything, no, it was just like floating in a deep black sea without a body, I know that sounds scary, but it wasn't, because I wasn't.

I've escaped these too, except I use common sense not the sixth sense.

>Electrocuted
I had turned a breaker off in order to work on some equipment, tested it with a meter, and mid-way through, the homeowner turned it back on without my knowledge because "it was getting cold"
>Traffic accidents
Came to a corner, felt that thing in my head, hit the brakes. Coworker asked me why, I just said I was checking my GPS. A few seconds later, some kid whips around the corner, and plows into a fire hydrant. He was okay, but if my truck was there, none of us would have been.
>Rotten produce.
I drink a lot of milk, I don't know why it works with this, but if I pick up a jug of milk with the intent of drinking it, I can instantly tell if it's rotten.

it’s called intuition. it’s not cheap, it’s a very powerful technology if you learn to listen to it. you’d be dead otherwise.

All likely stories, I'm sure.

You're looking for the word precognition

Could be divine intervention. Maybe you're supposed to trip over a dog and take the bullet aimed at a cool person ten years from now.

Humor me OP.
was it also blacker than any black?
No fear of anything lurking for you, just you as your consciousness?
Did you see a vision before you returned, and if so, did it involve a dog?

There isn't any thought or knowledge, it's more of a vague warning light without a label, which makes it pretty frustrating.
>>41751812
Boy that'd suck.
>>41751820
There wasn't anything exceptional about how black it was I was just somewhere that wasn't, and I wasn't. I can't really explain it better than that. I didn't get any visions, I know that seems like a gyp, but I wasn't there for long, so maybe I just didn't get to the dog.

Thanks for answering.
We have similar levels of this thing.
I also briefly "died" when I was young.
However, I can see things happening explicitly (sometimes, outside my will) it's more accurate to say I "feel something is off and trust my gut" my wife calls this anxiety and then lectures me that I'm attributing negative traits to anxiety.
I just disagree that it's anxiety because it's tangible results with no flight or fight response, it simply is and I can choose to ignore it or listen to it. Either way, something happens.

Yeah mine haven't been getting more vivid, but it feels like they happen more in groups. Like for a while I won't get any, and then I start getting more and more and more, then they sort of peter out for a while.
I haven't checked to see if this is a schedule thing, because I didn't know this was a weird thing until a few years ago, and while I get that this is the schizo board, I'm not about to keep a journal of all the times I think I can see the future.

Checked
Id just say, be open to receiving your feeling.
Mines not a slightly snap ordeal like yourself, but it's usually accurate.
You may be able to improve on it with focus.
Godspeed, anon.
