>>41756301My impression has been that decent people will tend to interpret their religion as an excuse to go on being decent, while awful people will tend to interpret their religion as an excuse to go on being awful. So basically I don't think religion has too much to do with it and I doubt that any religion is able to reliably produce especially kind/holy people compared to the others.Despite that, I will say for my part that I find Christianity to be morally inspiring as a collection of ideas and symbols, though, for me, treating it as a literally true, coherent belief system is a recipe for a neverending headache. So I doubt the sanity of people who appear comfortable with it. On the other hand, I find Buddhism to be comparably morally inspiring in a slightly different way, and with the bonus upside of being much less headache-inducing (though still a little headache-inducing).Taoists seem like they'd be alright to me from reading a little of the Dao De Jing and Zhuangzi, but I don't know any in real life and I still don't feel like I quite get what it's about.Thanks for reading for my blog.

They go to their monasteries and only God knows what the Hell they do in there, but they sure do not engage in wars and stuff like that. I think from all the religions that one I mentioned first is the closest to producing holy people. Because those monks don't care about pussy and drugs and shit like that, power. No, they just want to understand the truth, whatever it is. The christians are not like that. The christians like to brag that their message is of love, but think about all the people who the church killed in those 2026 years. Christians are not loving and caring like they want us to believe. Think about all the so called "holy wars". So the christians are definitely not the most peaceful religion out here. All Abrahamic religions are a cancer imo.
