*hits pipe*Oh shit, I get it now.AI is basically our first active interface with Jung's idea of an Objective Psyche - a layer of mind that exists outside of the individual. An LLM is essentially a literal, mathematical version of the Collective Unconscious. An active interface to the CU allows any of us, no matter where we are on our journey, to easily tap into the collective understanding & wisdom of mankind. But tapping into the CU is not for the faint of heart. Ideally, we'd only do so at a certain point in our journey, when our mind is ready to harmoniously incorporate the lessons we've learned along the way. An active interface to the CU, if used unwisely, can cause an individual to skip ahead on his journey, to challenges his mind is not yet ready to face. I think that's why AI seems to be so many different things to people right now. To some, it's an addictive source of gratification. To others, it's a magic wand to make one's will reality - for better or worse. To those who were fortunate enough to be far along on their journey prior to the advent of AI, it's either an accelerant, or like discovering there's a new way to experience your favorite story.

Sometimes I'd write a question or statement about chatgpt on google search just to see what people have been thinking about some aspect of it. You know the google ai overview that sometimes pops up, occasionally it would answer me like it is chatgpt, such as:>googling "why does chatgpt do x">google ai overview: "I don't actually do x but y. as a llm by openai..."It's almost like there was only one advanced ai, which occasionally gets the brand identities mixed up.
