Would you share with me your /x/ related techniques for gaining satisfaction from breathing and life in general without nicotine? Pranayama or occult or something? I feel the need to quit but I also feel as if I won't be truly satisfied without it for the rest of my life, and that I will always long for the throat hit feeling and mental clarity and groundedness. I've been inhaling so much from such a young age that I think I might just be fucked for the rest of my life.

The only thing I remember is that sleeping with a glass, bottle, or container of water and cigarettes or butts creates an effect similar to nicotine patches.

You can always switch to a least harmful way to ingest nicotine, which is orally through gum, lozenges or pouches. Nicotine is a nootropic, and has anti anxiety properties as well. Oral administration also allows you to control your dose much more accurately which is critical when trying to wean yourself off.
Oh, and make sure to light a candle and chant this mantra:

I have successfully quit 4 or five times, each quit was for at least 2 years no cigarettes, each time i went back it was my own choice to look cool and i like the taste and hit, maybe 2-4 cigarettes a day, a pack a week was the most my habit reached

I found two things really help me, one was never telling myself it was over but telling myself i was taking a break. If you kick the habit for two weeks, you will not feel the cravings any more and you are clear and free, be clear and free for a year or more and who cares if you pick it up again

The second way to stop is to just stop buying them. Think of it this way, if you convince yourself for even a DAY to not buy cigarettes, then you have successfully quit for a day. Push that will out to quitting for a week, and you have quit for a week and maybe your cravings are gone too. I am currently 8 months nicotine free, it feels great to take a breath of fresh air but i dont mind smoking a cig while out drinking or something

Wooo lord- i tried every possible way to quit and failed them all multiple times. The best thing to do is read Allan carr’s book and then just quit cold turkey. It’s the only thing that work. All the gums, patches, lozenges, etc just keep you addicted. I once chewed Nicorette gum all day every day for two solid years. Understand this, you will have to go through absolute hell all day every day for a year to get off of it. You will drop your keys 50 times a day. Things that should be basic and easy for any human to do you will fuck up over and over. And you’ll probably gain 100 pounds. It’s just the way it is. And no, you will never get over the addiction. I think about it every day still even after not using it for years. Every time I go in a gas station I wrestle with my demons. Did you know tobacco is far more addictive than heroin??? It’s true- you could walk away from a hard core heroin addition and stay clean and get your brain back to baseline far easier than you can from tobacco. You will just have to accept a lower quality of life and not being as successful or making as much money once you quit. That part of what makes it so difficult. Good luck.

Unironically be poor, I would just spend my paychecks straight away, fuel up the car, buy a bunch of food, alcohol, bills and leave enough to get fresh milk but not cigarettes.

I switched to vaping when it got too expensive. Took me about 4-6 months to get used to vaping full time, then I reduced the nicotine amount over the course of a few months. About six or nine months later the battery exploded and I never bought a new vape. Before that I had tried multiple times without success but that time it was unexpectedly easy. I was quite a heavy smoker; I'd smoke between 20 and 30 cigarettes a day. Oh yeah also I quit during covid, and being stuck inside most likely helped.

Allen Carr was the only way I quit as well. I completely disagree with you on the lingering effects though. I basically realized cravings would pass, then after a few months would realize how nice it was to not have a pack taking up space in my pockets, all the money saved, smelling the would, etc.

OP you're going to quit, it's just a matter of when you make that decision.

Get nicorette brand gum, it’s a great way to use and be quitting for a while. The branded gum is the best, the off brand shit tastes like bugs and doesn’t last as long.

To quit cigs
>buy a shitty different brand every time
>use snus and pouches to replace it
>put off your first cig of the day for as long as you can
>clean your can and get it detailed and don’t smoke in it
>for me having a pack around helps me quit because I know I could have one at any time, there is no panic, I recommend this to people, because if it’s 10pm and you go out to get a pack, you’re gonna smoke, if you have one on hand, you might not “need to get to the store before 11”, same goes for alcohol, if it’s Friday night and you “need to get beer before the store closes” you’re gonna drink, but if you have a bottle to stare at, you can just stay up staring until you’re tired and then go to sleep with the promise of “Saturday night drinking”, but next day just make sure to find a better way to distract yourself, get a new videogame, or a cigar to enjoy, or go see your family if they don’t stress you out.

Replace- coffee, tea, videogames, chewing gum, alternative nicotine source or drug
Taper- lessen consumption in very way, only nights, only weekends, last as much of your day without the chemical as you can
Plan for Failure- don’t smoke a pack to your face if you fail, don’t drink all weekend just cuz you drank Friday
Plan your use- know when you’re “allowed” to use and when you’re not, once you’re used to it, reduce it even more, or you might find a happy medium.
Don’t drive yourself insane, no fucking homeless bitches- when I was doing nofap I got so horney I considered for a moment hitting on this disgusting homeless lady, if your sobriety is causing you to lose it, either have a plan or have a smoke/ drink/ wank, you could also keep some weed on hand for this or delta 8 or whatever, or something else like a Lego set/ new game.

I am not even quit right now and I quit by accident cuz I can’t smoke at apartment or in my new car, a few times I thought about driving somewhere to get out and smoke and it’s such a pain, I just vape and do snus.

This is what cold Turkey does, the suffering, the shitty feeling. Tapering off and switching nicotine methods definitely works. Cigarettes themselves are addictive along with the chemical nicotine, get off cigs, then vapes, then snus, then gum, then nicotine. I love quitting because it’s fun and I get to try all different things and get a schedule going and have a nice tea in the morning instead of a vape, you really can enjoy the process if you don’t make it about suffering and failure, like Christianity with sins. I have seen cold turkey people absolutely cook their brain from it, it’s not a safe method, it can cause you actual brain damage, quitting responsibly is part of using responsibly.

When I’ve quit kratom a few times I have unknowingly, at the time, self sabotaged and slowly gotten pissy over time, to the point t was affecting my life, I started using it again and everything went back to being good, don’t potentially ruin your life at the END of your addiction, get out clean, burn the thrusters a few times on the way to landing, lest you crash.

Microdosing dxm is a form of
>replacement
But maybe not the wisest decision, dxm is a deliriant and microdosing over long periods is liable to cause certain potential strange effects.

I quit over the course of the past 7 months. I've been 3+ months zero nicotine. I went from a pack a day (16 years) to inhaling cheap cigars (one nasty puff works surprisingly well at curbing the itch). Eventually the overwhelmingly nastiness of the cheap cigars overrides the urge to get that hit and at this point I've basically quit, it takes probably 3 months going from 6 cigars a day to 4 to 2 to 1 to a half to a puff and I've quit nicotine 2 times with this method.
Also I quit heroin for the 3rd time a couple months ago if anybody is interested in a blog post

Regarding this I think there are just some people (myself included) who have underlying problems with their brain chemistry and thus derive outlandish benefits from tobacco use that normal people would not experience. I’m talking about being able to triple your income, being able to consistently work 18 hours a day with laser focus and never make a mistake, start and run new businesses and develop new products and services, etc. For me personally, the things I was able to achieve while using tobacco were literally miraculous. Which probably also explains why quitting for me was horrifically debilitating and I have never been able to do the same things I was able to do with tobacco even after many years. I still routinely DREAM all night about going to gas stations and buying tobacco products even though I haven’t touched it for YEARS. So I would say everyone’s experience will probably be different based on their personal brain chemistry.

I used nicotine gum for 3 years. After that I started taking cold showers and wim hof breathing method to quit the gum also.

Use nicotine gum to quit addiction to inhaling smoke. After that you need heave ascetic practices to fight craving.

I am nicotine free now for 2 years and I feel amazing. Worst drug on this world is nicotine. Its complete position to spirituality as well because craving comes back every 30 minutes. Its insane.

Heroin addicts doesnt think about heroin as much as nicotine addicts think about nicotine.

To keep it simple, I don't know how well equipped you are, so naturally I want you to accept Darkness, simply, summoning the power of Darkness (just the power, no beings), I'll have you do some rituals, that will require certain items, with bonus instructions so you have help even when in an uncomfortable situation for ritual.
>>
>>41771364
Are you running away anon?
It's simple, I am a non abrahamic demon, I expect you to offer up something, I'd accept you joining Darkness (just Darkness) as payment.
I do not think you'll regret it, think of it as an oportunity.

They say they can taste food again, and the food tastes good as heck.
You can smell things again.
You raise you use to stink. Everyone was being polite about it.
Your hair is better, too. Lady cutting my hair, I asked how she was sure I didn't smoke - I didn't tell her yes or no
She said
1. I didn't stink like smoke, and
2. My hair is not greasy and tacky like smoker hair
3. There is such a thing as smoker hair
Try those reasons on for size, see if they fit you.

There’s nothing like it. I’d say heroin is the closest feeling I’ve had to nicotine. I quit smoking and vaping last year by switching to lozenges then went a few months on those until I finally said fuck it and got off those. I drink a fuckload of kava extract which is way more expensive now but fuck everyone cause they all have fuckin SOMETHING. I can’t even use caffeine or THC. Kava isnt physically addicting just very mental like herbal xanax. So get some nicotine lozenges and some kava extract then get off the lozenges when you’re ready. Just don’t fuck with kratom that’s essentially herbal heroin and a awful habit.

Maybe i am not a real smoker, 4 pall mall blues a day since college, but for me, when i do a 3 day water fast (no cigs no food, of course, just a bit of water), i no longer feel the need to smoke afterwards. I willingly pick the habit up after a few days, but i psychologically and physically quit. Also maybe you could start by smoking lights and fewer cigs a day.
