Looking back, it’s kind of difficult to believe that I’ve managed without much psychological intervention, especially with the severity of a psychotic break. After having hallucinations cut down by over 90%, stable mood, ease of connections, etc., can’t overly complain.

It would’ve been ideal to confide in a professional and I badly wish that this could’ve been an option because having sped up recovery times would’ve been beneficial. Unfortunately, external assistance wasn’t too feasible for a multitude of reasons and likely never will be. So — instead, I’ve focused on journaling heavily, among other processing methods and have barely mentioned my issues to anyone, which I think will always be slightly tough to personally accept. I’m used to living a private life (/div/ gets an earful though lol) and I suppose it’s ok, usually. I know regularly reading physical books helped my attention span a lot. Start slow, don't think you need to read hours at a time right away. And I'd recommend short stories/essays at the start because you get that feeling of finishing something quicker.
