I think this is the most /x/ thing I've seen in years. There are tow versions of the series, one made 2010-12, (picrel) and another in 2016, they're both pretty good. I've also read the novels by Douglas Adams. Dirk is a "holistic detective" who doesn't mess about with fingerprints and such but rather investigates the fundamental connection of all things. He seems to be a magnet for psychic and supernatural phenomena, although he vehemently denies being a psychic. As an actual autistic person, I feel the interconnection of all things but it mostly just cause me tremendous anxiety because it all points to something really bad. There's also a character that is a holistic assasin in the 2016 show. She just kills whoever she feels like killing and if she killed them, they were her target. She has supernatural luck and reflexes. While I am pretty sure I am not one of those, I'm trying to figure out which sort of holistic I am. I mean, I could be a detective but the cases certainly aren't coming to me, and that's how it works.Anyhow, the reason I think it's /x/ is that what happens to Dirk is just a bunch of odd coincidences stacking up in his favor. Same for the assassin. And that is pretty much how magick is supposed to work. I mean. it's not fireball or transmutation or summoning physical beings or manifesting objects out of thin air. Just a bunch of synchronicities, no matter how improbable. The show is also really funny. Apparently it did not get promoted properly and got cancelled for lack of viewers.
>>41784370Nah. It was shit.
>>41784528You're shit. You only watched the 2016 one didn't you? That one is fun but the one from picrel is much closer to the novels.
>>41784370>autisticHolistic isn't autism. In fact, its the opposite. You shouldn't be doing this kind of work.Thank you for ousting yourself.
>>41784840Yeah you should close your mouth you ignorance is showing.Autistic notice connections and patterns that normies do not.Schizophrenics notice patterns and connections that do not exist or if they do, they are way to subtle for the rest of us to understand. Normies are very suggestible and can pretty much believe whatever they choose to believe. I kind of envy them for this but as you know in can also be quite dangerous. I mean, an Electric Monk killed Gordon Way for no reason other that it believed it should.
>>41784867You notice patterns that are perceptible with the senses, not the imperceptible with the mind.
>>41784890There is just a bit more to it than that. Just a bit. I'm not a psychic.
I agree, OP. I liked the episode The House Within The House. Reminded me of descriptions of the Mauve Zone.
>>417843702016 one is better wish it didnt get cancelled
I figured it out, i am supposed to be an assistant to one of the holistic ones. There does seem to be an increasing amount of strangeness in my life, my anxiety is through the roof, total panic state for two days now.
I think I might be an holistic journalist. I write whatever I feel like writing and if I wrote it, that was my assignment.
>>41790740Same. Its the worst when people who don't belong to your side of things come crashing into your life, and abuse you because they thought you needed to do something else according to their corrupted credo.
>>41791123I think the worst part of being a holistic journalist is the pay. It is non existent. That and the waiting for a story worth pursuing to come along.
>>41792231If its something that belongs to you, the honor alone is worth every effort. When its not, then compensation is required because that's another kind of contract.I'm awaiting compensation for work that was not mine to carry and cost me too much, and ultimately I never wanted it.
>>41792538What I am most interested in investigating right now are instances of impossible luck and improbable coincidences.
>>41784370My dad loved this show, recommended it multiple times to me.Really relevant stuff.
