all those can be answered by the simple fact, we suffer.

The darkness necessitates the light and vice versa.You can probably argue there is a state of 'infinite light' without darkness but I wouldn't call that life in the way we understand it, because there is no passion or drive anymore at that point. Anyway, life is temporary. Don't sweat it too much, stick around for the ride but feel relieved that there is an ending to the suffering, eventually.
