Question from someone who has not tried psychedelics, and sorry if this is /pol/:I've heard that psychs show you (a) the unity of all things and (b) the reality of God, but I've also heard that psychs don't change any of your fundamental beliefs. My question is, what would happen if a (totally convinced) materialist/atheist took psychs?Also, I would love to take psychs. The experience seems profoundly beautiful. that ultimately it is a matter of perceptionwhen i am on drugs i feel as though my mind can theorize way faster and way more outlandishly than usual, drawing connections from the faintest of threads and pondering every possibility, questioning the nature of everything in sight and whether it's a message and what it might mean. so typical schizo apophenia bullshit. sometimes for better, sometimes for worse, ive had good times and ive had bad times. it also leaves me feeling a bit fucked up physically for a few days after, like every physical sensation i have is deferred or delayed, especially in the hands
