Asians are the people with the highest IQs on earth and they chose Buddhism. Is it the only religion without a God? If so, is believing in an God a mistake westoids commit?
Christians care more about soul purity which causes them to racially look better on respawn. Buddhism is maybe more aware of what is happening but it makes more sense to follow Christianity overall since securing a good respawn should be the highest priority.
>>41806670>and they chose Buddhism. Not really, buddhism is vaguely tolerated but is often only something interacted with during shit like funerary rites. The chinese preference for taoism/confucianism was so severe that it birthed an entire new branch of buddhism inspired by chinese native philosophy/metaphysics. Koreans embraced buddhism a bit more but it still takes a back seat to confucianism/native shamanism. Japan's distaste for buddhism lead to actual purges with only the most syncratic sects remaining.
>>41806670in the West you had people like Pythagoras then Plato, who said God was like a heavenly/mathematical form. They didn't really call it God, but when Semitic Catholics came around to Greece, they basically said that's what they meant. My point is, the dispute between East and West re: Buddhism goes beyond the Cosmic Skydaddy persona, as Eastern Buddhists don't even grant that mathematical form is indicative of "Truth." This comes from the Taoism, which comes from the Iching. The Iching is the Book of CHANGES. The whole idea is that the seasons and archeypes morph into one another. In the Tao, we are free from duality, and so to say "God is a triangle with 3 corners" ends up being totally all too formal and pedantic.
>>41806670Buddhism doesn't necessarily deny or accept a god (mostly denies the theistic God, though).Buddhism even acknowledges Brahma but says he too is part of the cycle of samsara. And why do Asians pick it over Christianity? Two reasons: - region (it originated there)- Maturity I will give you a comparison between how Siddhartha and Jesus reacted towards the same situation.JesusWhen Jesus walked into Capernaum, a grief-stricken, saddened and depressed mother heard of his arrival; she also knew that Jesus can do many miracles. So she rushed to Jesus. "Oh Jesus, help my daughter." She beckoned towards Jesus as she asked him to bring her daughter back to life. Jesus, filled with compassion and love for her, followed the women, and when he saw the daughter's corpse, he grabbed her arm and said, "Talitha koum!" and the daughter rose back from the dead.Siddhartha (Buddha)When Buddha walked into Shravasti, a grief-stricken, saddened and depressed mother heard of his arrival; she also knew that Buddha could do many miracles. So she rushed to Buddha."Oh Buddha, help my son." She beckoned towards Buddha as she asked him to bring her son back to life. Buddha, filled with compassion and love, told her this."I will bring back your son, but only when you can bring me a handful of mustard seeds (a commonly grown seed during that time) from a household that had never experienced the death of a family member." Filled with determination, she headed forth and went towards her neighbours and asked if she could have the mustard seeds.Agreeing, they said yes."I forgot. Did someone die within your household recently?""Well, yes, my son died at war."Going to the next house, she asks the same thing."Did someone die within your household recently?""Well, yes, my daughter died of sickness not long ago.Going to the next house, she asks the same thing."Did someone die within your household recently?"[1/2]
>>41806851"Well, yes, my mother died of old age a couple of months ago."She repeated this for hours. Finally, as the sun started to set, she buried her son and returned to the Buddha, who comforted her and taught her the Dharma. (Additionally, she also became a nun after this.)Where Jesus showed that "look, your suffering is special; believe in me, and you will not experience death anymore."Where Buddha showed that "Look, the universal truth is that death is an inevitable part of life and how there is an impermanence to all."That's just my opinion wellIf you want to learn about bussism here,Buddhismmagnet:?xt=urn:btih:7e4b611ae8cff80c76d6385284d7d279307715d1&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Fconcen.org%3A6969&dn=Theoccult.click+Content+Leaked+%28Part17%29+Buddhism&xl=394660819472rise up.[2/2]
>>41806670But they are just worker ants for the demiurge, and they all end up worshipping a stone, there's nothing awakening about that form of buddhism. scoring good rebirths, trying to be a bodhisattva are all benign aganst samsara. the real deal is in the jatakas where they describe all the self sacrifices the soontobe tathagata did, and I think they are primordial as well, eg :- sasa jataka and the aztec rabbit of the moon tale, separated by continents yet chekcs out. Sivi jataka and stuff are also horrendous but I think that's more heroic than worshipping statues idly. after that point gnana should hit . or you could just do vipassana and contemplation of sorts but thats not the "buddhism" that's just how arhatz come to be
>>41806670Buddhism has many gods. But it's not necessary to acknowledge them.
>>41806670Gods are only for toddlers who can't handle responsibility and the truth.
>>41807041https://www.reddit.com/r/atheism/
>>41806704That's stupid and completely misses the point of BuddhismYou aren't supposed to want to be reborn as a human, the goal is to completely break the cycle of rebirth
>>41806670It really depends on which buddhism you subscribe to, there are Hindu, Tibetan, Chinese and many other cultural gods littered all in Buddhism. They're like the agents in the matrix and you cant really have a true atheistic buddhism. The entire religion started bc a rich dude said the caste system was stupid and being a dirty hippy is stupid also.
>>41806670>Asians are the people with the highest IQs on earth and they chose Buddhism.Actually now that they have basic religious freedom Christianity is the fastest growing religion.
>>41806670IQ is a spook, there is so much more to a human being than their score on an arbitrary test. It's like any other organized religion, there's lots of good stuff in Buddhism and there's also a lot of bad. It has a good rep among white people in the West, but it's not any more spiritual or profound than Judeo-Christian religions which are more common here. Sadly, all that most people get from Buddhism is that you have to act like a holier than thou arrogant prick 24/7, and that makes you enlightened.
>>41807041You only think that way because the conception of God you've been taught is retarded.
>>41806670https://youtu.be/5oWABFaDXYk
>>41807094That's a doomer mentality. If you had that mentality in real they would put you on antidepressants. Liking life is healthy.
>>41806670Basically just an eastern manifestation of shadow repression and death drive but with legitimate ancient yogic meditation technology embedded. Taoism clears and hinduism is largely superior as well outside of advaita vedanta which is essentially the same thing but differing in philosophical specifics
>>41807211>if you express a non-archon-approved thought they'll make you take a pillyeah I mean that's obviously that's how I know it's true
