i don't think God prioritizes the younger brother, in the story of Cain and Abel, Cain is the primogeniture, supposed to inheirit the firstborn privileges, but fails to be obedient to God by choosing to worship Him in his own way. as a result, the privilege gets passed to Abel, but before the Son of man is come through his lineage, Cain overcomes him, so God gave us Seth, whose lineage produced Saviour of all mankind, Jesus Christ. God is fair and loving, he did not revoke Ham's blessing despite his transgression against his father (and potentially mother) after having purged the earth of wickedness, instead allowing Noah to curse Ham's offspring Canaan. if this was the case, Noah's eldest son Shem would forfeit his status as the primogeniture, but Jesus Christ is come from his lineage.

>>41822985huh, i suppose this makes for an interesting case. i was wrong- apparently, Shem is the secondborn, and Japheth is the firstborn, but my initial confusion came from the order they're listed in the bible: Shem, Ham, Japheth. if Ham was the youngest, it seems like the inheiritance passed from Japheth to Shem, the secondborn- possibly a motif for the coming of Jesus Christ because in Him, we are born again.you could apply that same motif to Jacob, but there is also the idea that Esau pursued flesh, whereas Jacob pursued spirit, highlighted in Esau's selling of his birthright to Jacob for a bowl of soup. it's all just pretty interesting, a lot to unpack for one day.
