I wonder if hypnosis via film, music, game, etc. is real. Like full on Hollywood/Sci-fi type hypnosis.

>>41825615Not exactly, that sort of hypnosis is more so that movies offer the viewer new identities to adopt in which they can gain something they feel they're lacking in themselves, or wish they could be. But, at the end of the day the one who created the character in the movie is ultimately the one who has controlled that end-result behavior. The trick is controlling the story-environment that character exists in to grant that character's identity an allure for the viewer to adopt (even if irl that character would be a total freak or some shit)

>>41825411Fun fact, I remember an anecdote from a hypnosis course.There was this dentist who used hypnosis instead of anesthesia, but at the end, he added a suggestion like "from now on, only a qualified doctor will be able to hypnotize you", because he thought he was helping protect them from charlatans or something like that.He found out too late most people don't consider dentists to be real doctors and he could no longer hypnotize his own patients.
