most people talking about hermeticism in anno domini 2026 are grifters. a lot of contemporary hermetic groups like thelema or golden dawn are kinda cringe. everything I've read from hermetic sources has been cool, so do that.

You can do the same by meditation, in theory, as it also practices the "emptying" of the self, but it'll probably take much longer compared to going nigredo albedo rubedo like siddahrta.
