I can throw some gas on this fire. New York City is 302 square miles or 1,594,560 square feet with a reported population of 8,260,000 in 2021. On top of this, somewhere between 1/3rd and 2/3rds of the buildings in the city are reportedly vacant. Now factor in probably half of that space is used for infrastructure, retail and other non living space related things. Even accounting for vertical space the math should be impossible for that many people to live in that little space and since covid NYC has looked like a ghost town when the numbers say they should literally be crawling over each other.On top of this take a wild guess as to the most dangerous job in the federal government... Its a census worker. You are telling me that people are just strangely homicidal towards one of the few agencies that is literally constitutionally mandated since the founding fathers' time when agencies like the IRS and BATFE (I use their full name as it supposedly annoys them that they aren't 3 letters like the other agencies) exist? It doesn't make much sense but if anyone would be in a position to notice this irregularity and need to be "taken care of" it would be them as this is a major factor to the modern power block.(1/2)

I agree OP, simple lies from brown countries for aid scamming purposes and the incentive to make up ghost people in corrupt democracies makes me think the number is much lower. I finally traveled for the first time a few years ago and was shocked at how few people there were compared to what I imagined, even Amsterdam Schipol Looked no busier than during a movie from the 90s and shockingly whiter than I expected if the media demography reporting is to be believed.

Ideally you should focus on the wellbeing yourself, your family and your immediate community. Everything else is a diversion.
