Can Hermeticism, Alchemy, and Astrology be considered parts of Hellenism? I don't see how you can participate in them without fundamentally subscribing to a Hellenic worldview
>>41872005Everything is Hellenic, people just don't know it.Literally all of western civilization is built on the foundation of Plato. The Logos described in John is hellenic. The old testament being a refered to as The Law. Or The Law of Moses is hellenic and a direct response to plato and The Rebublic. It's not as old as people think. Like im sure there's an oral tradition and the myths are old, but the text itself is much later.Christians like to claim that Plato was "the first Christian" but really it's the other way around. Jesus is a Socratic figure. Choosing to face death for his virtue.
>>41872055Christianity is more Hellenic than Semitic. Judaism is Semitic with very little Hellenic influence. Alexander tried to feed it to them, but they threw up.
>>41872005not astrology, always. hellenistic astrology totally, but most people into astrology these days are into the modern psychological school of it. which over time has become pretty divorced from the origins. i would reckon a good 95% of people into astrology are practicing a form of retarded foidslop optimized for instagram stories that consists entirely of funny pictures to compensate for a lack of identity
>>41872005>Hermeticism, AlchemyHellenism, but began with Ancient Egyptians.>AstrologyUniversal, like augury.
>>41872055yes and the foundation of Plato is buttsex. It is all christians care about.
>>41872005Hellenism is influenced by astrology and alchemy, not the other way around.People were calling Venus the love-planet before it was called Venus.
