I have a roomate and apparently whenever he goes to the washroom in the middle of the night or is watching a show I start talking. He doesn't understand what I say but it creeps him out since it happens whenever he makes a move

What can this be? I'm getting a bit scared

No need to be. Your senses run on autopilot while asleep, not like they shut down entirely. Your ancestors avoided getting eaten by a "rustling in the leaves" that way. Better ask yourself why you feel like pestering your roommate with inanities (parts of your brain likey think they are making senseful speech here) when he goes to the washroom ...
