Like the title says. I was wondering if you guys think everyone ( atheist, agnostic, w/e) is religious in some way shape or form. And what is religion really? Is it just a system of beliefs someone chooses to abide by and follow?
>>41878801yea atheists still follow "morals" and believe that they are intrinsic to human nature even though humans can have drastically different morals even in the same city/town let alone how different the morals are of a group of humans across the world.being a man of nature is the only way you can really not be "religious" but even then that would somewhat just make nature your god as the sun literally gives you life
idk, but your stupid if you think life is just electrons and protons moving about
>>41878801“Religion” is a word to describe many things that are not all the same. The Bible and real Christian’s say not to be religious, because it is referring to the system and power dynamics that came with old religions. You can be spiritual, and not religious. Religion refers to the following of others beliefs, a pre-laid out set of beliefs, rituals, and systems. Most people want this, and follow it, and everything can be a religion. Yes atheists and agnostics follow what those before them have laid out, but the same goes for those who worship celebrity, money, or anything else. It would be nice if a religion was true, but likely none of them are.You seem pretty ignorant with this question, everyone worships something.40K is a great example I’ve found, I find guys who make their whole life revolve around it, they worship it, it’s freaky to see. Their whole room decorated, their clothes, everything revolves around the game. Once you see this, you can extrapolate it to other things, rich people who worship sailboats, or some sport, it all becomes the same. There is but only 1 system I have found which goes against this, and it’s a joke, the most important joke ever told.
You’re absolutely right, I am ignorant. That’s why I asked the question to learn something new.
>>41878801No. We do search for things to believe in though, and religio-tards insist this means you need god, and you need their god. They're like salesmen like this. Faiths in god(s) and myths of some sort are fine, but the institute of states that get their hands on them use them to the hilt to further their statecraft goals. This corrupts them and their clergy. I am agnostic-atheist, but I am a friend of the faithful by wanting to free them of this corrupting force
Religions are like frats that you can join that have a collective manifests. Christianity manifests white people, family and society. Buddhism manifests reincarnation, asians and nature. Yes even atheism is a manifest because that means you are manifesting the cold hard detached aspect of reality.
>>41878938WHATS THE JOKEdiscordianism?cotfsm!?
>>41879091its all a joke
>>41878801Well yes, normalfags believe in govt and confotmity, but also, some few people are actual nihilists
>>41878801If by religious, you mean faith, then yes, most people are faithful to their beliefs and their worldviews on existence as a whole. It doesn't matter whether they're atheist, agnostic, or gnostic, they have a belief in how life works regardless.
>>41878801yes you cant help but be mildly superstitious. people who have the self identity as atheists or rational scientific types will actively think mantras and rationales when a superstitious impulse takes them to try and banish it. silly people.
