Every time I think I'm getting closer to understanding reality, there's 1 thing that doesn't fit into the puzzle: Dreams. The only theory I've ever come up with that actually explains it, is that the dreamer is the "real me" trapped in this illusion of a world. That's the answer isn't it... To escape the Matrix my dreams have to become more real than this world?I'm afraid to face that conclusion, because if that's the answer then I'm so far away from it.
>wants to escape the matrix >is terminally online Stop acting like you don't love it.
>>41898068Dreams are the tide that lifts forgotten symbols from the seabed of waking life, where the mind loosens its grip on reason and lets meaning speak in masks, riddles, and echoes, so that what cannot pass the gate of daylight may still be known by reflection.
When we sleep we enter a pool of consciousness and a sort of mental energy is captured as fuel and its fundamental to the multiverse existing.I don't think its malevolent, bacteria and fungi allow life to exist, are they slaves?

>>41898068yeswhat we call dreams are the memories we retain in waking life, memories from the "true" reality perused by the brain, on quotes because it doesn't mean it's a final reality, just the one preceding physical reality. we are always dreaming, even when awake, but our brain, and body senses makes us focus on physical reality. you don't have to make the dream more real than this reality, but it would be an interesting exercise either way. research and practice lucid dreaming if you can. see what works for you. we are not trapped, unless you decide you are
what really boils my noodle is the concept of dream solipsismHonestly I don't care what people believe, and I think the why is more important, as my personal beliefs are subject to change as I try to keep an open mind. With that said, all our lives we're told believing in solipsism is generally frowned upon and we're told it's wrong, but we're also told our dreams aren't real, and with never mentioning the phrase dream solipsism that is the belief that is actively encouraged. Why is one form of solipsism encouraged while the other discouraged?
>>41898068I am getting so agitated by my dreams. I am trying so hard to become lucid in them and failing.Dream me doesn't even feel like the real me, they do stupid shit I would not do, care about things I do not, goes to places and talks to people I wouldn't. Its like they've forgotten something important about themself and act like a flimsily clone. I very very rarely wake up feeling "hmm I was in a strange dream" but instead I feel like I watched some film about me that someone with a poor understanding of me tried to write. Its so agitating. I fill my conscious awake mind with all the things I want to dream about. Even just vague locations and feelings. I do LoA about it and even pray about it. I've also been doing lots of reality checks too. And nothing happens. Dream me is still as ignorant and retarded as every. It makes me feel that dreams are NOT apart of you or your subconscious. Its the only explanation why I can't seem to influence them in any way. I just don't get it.Sometimes I even get "contextually" lucid dreams. Like its some meta story where part of the dreams story is my dream self becoming aware of it being a dream. But its all contained within the dreams plot so I don't do anything that the conscious me would want to do at all. I had recently where I started telling everyone it was a dream. And that was it, I just wandered around telling people that. I woke up feeling so fucking stupid like it was right there and somehow my real conscious lucid self couldn't take over.

It depends on what type of “Dream” you are having, but basically it’s your consciousness traveling out of your body to other dimensions or the non-physical realms. There are plenty of people that have seen future events in their sleep, people that have had breakthroughs in their dreams, your attention goes where your awareness flows. There’s a very interesting book called Journeys out of the body. Some of the places inside of the dreams are so good and heavily connected to emotions and feelings. These feelings can faintly be felt (although sometimes mood changing) by just recalling that dream place. Some dreams are probably tens of years ago still quite vivid in memory. Stimulation of the right temporal lobe. Highly active during dreams. Also ghost sightings and epileptic seizures. Possibly also religious experiences? Hemispheric priority shifted during dreams: consciousness mediated by the right hemisphere instead of left. Very few people clearly see text, read, etc in their dreams, inverse phenomenon of very few people clearly experiencing right-brain psychic phenomena while awake. While awake, right-brain activity is relegated to the subconscious, and consciousness is mediated through left-brain activity. Roles are reversed during dreams, which is why they speak in archetypes of the collective unconscious.Interesting fact: dolphins and whales each sleep with one hemisphere at a time. Must be a wild experience.

Just had a dream that was ALMOST lucid. Barely there but man I was so tired that I could barely even give a fuck anymore. Instead of exploring it or getting actually lucid I just used it as a bit of a reprieve and a bit of a break and it kinda makes me smile a bit.Been very busy. Lots of being held hostage by a narcissist who deeply tied themselves to me. It's incredibly draining and overall soulcrushing to have someone so corrosive tied to you at your waist because of legal drama and bullshit from family.Weed has been studied to affect your brain to keep it from going into REM sleep but when it gives you dreams they're psychedelic without being psychedelic in my experience. Just abstract and like you're looking at yourself in third-person like it's a game or a cutscene in a bigger one.

I was incredibly close to a girl I loved but she had to move away for family reasons and we fell out of communication somewhere in the mix. I don’t know why I didn’t ask her out. I don’t know why I let her slip away. I still think about her daily.Recently she has been appearing in my dreams. Sometimes we are in a happy relationship. Sometimes we see each other the street but it’s a fleeting moment. Other times she is aggressively trying to communicate with me.I think our souls are touching and she is trying to communicate across the distance. I just feel it.
I’m getting sort of scared. My dreams are episodic. I leave my waking body behind and replay someone else’s memories in some other place/time. What’s alarming is that lately I’ve been zoning out during the day getting random flashbacks to these places I’ve been visiting in my dreams. There’s a big house somewhere in the middle of nowhere and it’s unlike anyplace I’ve been to in this waking life. Sometimes there are other people (family?) there, other times not. I have a bad vibe most of the time and don’t know why. Are we living multiple lives and forgetting each one temporarily? What makes us recollect these things seemingly at random? This isn’t some gay larp. I’m not suppressing dark emotions or shit like that. Something isn’t right with reality and I can’t be the only one experiencing this

Little drop on dreams. They can be influenced by things and certain agencies for some reason. Pictures, sounds, imagery etc etc. and if you are ever a target certain groups can make you dream about certain things. I used to think I was making my own dreams to dissociate and fall to sleep by blacking the bad shit I've been through out. But it turns out people were either giving me these dreams or could see them or something. Very weird.
Here is the truth you have been looking for: dreams connect you to the collective unconscious and allow you to peek into the divine and inner soul you have. In a sense, it is your more truer self. But what is the importance of it? Well, in dreams you can be honest. What do you have to hide? Go out and pursue that truth and see where it takes you.
>>41898068i'm afraid it's just simpler than that. your body needs time to be repaired so your mind retreats into itself while the body is being repaired. there are likely multiple consciousnesses within our brain. the 'we' part is the one sleeping.
Why can we see light in our dreams? That's a question I've had. One time while I was awake, I was laying in my tent watching something on YouTube. An image appeared in my mind and it was a black background. I was standing on top of what I'm assuming was the earth and my eyes were normal at first. Then the backround became this colorful static and my eyes became colorful static like the background. I felt as if I was being sucked into this image in my mind and pulled away from it because it scared me. My heart was beating, I had never experienced this before. I had never run away from an image in my mind like this, I've never felt like I'd be sucked into my own mind and that I'd be lost in the image and never have I ran away from a thought or had my heart beat in genuine fear of an experience in my mind. An intuitive feeling connected this experience to the way gravity works. Gravity is only observable when there is mass in space and I understood that my body and mind were an anchor for consciousness and that my mind functioned like a radio that receives radio frequency except it's consciousness that's the frequency and my mind the receiver. For the rest of the night I felt as if I was floating in this pool of static consciousness, as if the material world were an illusion and I was in 2 worlds at once. I felt like an anchor for this infinite static consciousness, like I was floating in an infinite space that was using me as an anchor for the material experience. Like a planet floating in space attracting gravitational force. I felt like I understood something that I maybe shouldn't have. It felt like the dream was using me to look back at itself. You know how some people talk about the dream creating the dreamer? That's how it felt, that's what it seemed.

I read through a few half dozens posts that seemed genuine. Perhaps I read those because they agree with my stance, haha. But before I explain, I'd like to ask one question:Do (you) dream in color? My dreams are always monochromatic in either red, grey, amber, or (rarely) purple. I hope to dream in green some day. Here's what I think dreams are: Dreams are a conference between the subconscious mind, the collective unconsciousness, and the universal unconsciousness. These so called minds cannot speak the language of the conscious mind. But the conscious mind can learn to interpret the symbolism. I borrow a lot from Jung, Lao Tzu, and Jodorowsky in my interpretation of what dreams are and the symbolism that accompany them. Subconscious mind = your animal brain, your soul, and the immediate people, flora, and fauna around you.Collective unconsciousness = ancestral memories from the first proto human to the first single celled organism and beyond. The current Earth, the past Earth, and the future Earth. Perhaps the solar system as well. Universal unconsciousness = the named and the nameless. The best way I can visually phrase it is that the conscious mind is a rowboat upon an infinite ocean. When we dream, we see shapes, ripples, and all manner of fantastical things just below the surface. It is when we stick our heads into the water to get a closer look that we can begin to see the origin, meaning, or symbolism of what these so called minds want to share with us.
>>41928029>People would pay to come in and watch me fight iguanas.More importantly, did you win?

>>41928772>Do (you) dream in color?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FK2VyG7yzJwI do sometimes. And actually I think we all dream in color more often then we realize. One time I was trying to recall a dream, and I would have sworn it wasn't in color at all, until I remembered a part of the dream that focused on color (like there were several objects and I had to grab the orange one), and suddenly I realized the entire dream was full of color the whole time. I just didn't remember it.>These so called minds cannot speak the language of the conscious mind. But the conscious mind can learn to interpret the symbolism.I agree with the first sentence, but not the second one. I don't think that subconscious part of us operates symbolically either, at least not in the way our minds would interpret it.Although I do think it's easy to confuse it with symbolism. Like say you feel trapped, so you dream about being a bird that can fly away. I don't think your subconscious is saying "this bird symbolically represents my desire to be free", I think it's more like the experience of being free is related to the imagined experience of flying. So it's about experiential relationships to things, not really symbolic ones. The 2 concepts can be quite similar, but I think when people start to believe it's symbolic they turn it into something more cerebral rather than experiential, and start missing the actual message because they're focused on some technical symbolicsBut that's just my take on it.

>>41933061I'd say it's probably not enough to just stop thinking about it, but to actively encourage the opposite view. And not just to force oneself to believe in better things, but I mean to actually find a place within oneself where it is a certainty, not a belief, that we are more than meat puppets helpless to the whims of others.I'm only saying this because once I personally started to realize it, truly realize that life IS supposed to be better than this corrupt state of being, then my dreams started to become really amazing. Like if I fell off a cliff I would fly back up to the top instead of falling, or if I was about to get attacked by a dog I just stare at the dog and it moves away instead of attacking. It feels like a deeper part of my being has started to reject the negative dreams, because I've started to actually know within myself that my state of being should not be helpless.
>>41922494This.
>>41898068You might as well ask: What the hell is that slime coming out of my nose? Because basically, it's pretty much the same thing. Dreams are a bodily product. Your brain emulates a wake consciousness during deep sleep so that it can wake up again. If it simply "switched off", a lot of living beings would die completely randomly in their sleep because they could accidentally fall asleep "too deeply". Dreams protect the brain from dying during sleep. They have no other function. Interpreting them is therefore as futile as trying to interpret the contents of a snot-covered tissue - at best, you'll get a vague overview of your own health and constitution. Sometimes it looks scary. If something is wrong with you, it looks even scarier. If your perception is disturbed in your wake state of consciousness or if it has to endure a lot of stress and pain, this will logically also be reflected in your dreams. You may occasionally have a "precognitive" experience in your dreams; this is due to the consistency of reality. And of course, this is also a bit "magical", because, as we know, this reality is based not only on science but also on magic. Everything in this universe is dual or it does not exist. You have to sleep to be able to be awake. You have to be awake to be able to dream.
Your subconscious picks up information that it finds stimulating or interesting everyday. Those pieces of information are mashed up by the brain into its best attempt of a comprehensible story.

>>41899679>It makes me feel that dreams are NOT apart of you or your subconscious. Its the only explanation why I can't seem to influence them in any way. I just don't get it.relatable. I have a theory that this might be learned helplessness. I remember when I was very young, I would try to imagine my favorite cartoon or videogame characters acting out some scenario, but they would always trip and fall or fail in some way and I wonder if this is because I watched too many cartoons where the protagonist always fails, like Wile E. Coyote or Dexter from Dexter's Laboratory.
Dreams are the Collective Unconsciousness.

>>41898068Fun fact: niggers don't have dreams nor do they appear in dreams. Start listening to the gatewat tapes if you want to become a lucid dreamer. It's the only thing that worked for me. Wake and back to sleep method only makes them more vivid for me.
>>41935074>Fun fact: niggers don't have dreams nor do they appear in dreams.>nor do they appear in dreams.Wait a minute, what the fuck you're actually right. >>41935074>>41935289i once had a dream that a random black adult showed up at my high school and started shooting people, including me. i woke up once i bled out. i live in an area that has something like a 1% black population
>>41899679>>41934764You might find this post interesting >>41933412In particular the bottom half, where it describes how your dreams can in fact be influenced by you. I think the problem is simply that the real you is not the "you" that you think it is.>I have a theory that this might be learned helplessness.See how the linked post describes the realization that you should not be helpless, and that leading to gaining autonomy over those dreams. In other words, dreams are not trying to teach you to be helpless, they are revealing the sense of helplessness that you (and everyone in this world) is trying to cope with as "just life".It's the waking world that's trying to condition you into helplessness, and your dreams are merely reflecting that the conditioning is working. If you stop believing the world, stop believing that life should be a struggle, that paying taxes is normal, that going to work/school is normal, that having to do things you don't want to do every day is normal, then you start to break the conditioning. And your dreams will then begin to reflect it as well, and you will no longer be helpless in your dreams.

Why are some dreams so fucking schizo and deranged sometimes?>be me>just got out of jail apparently>something about having controversial opinions (I was locked away for about a year)>mom has come to pick me up>I get in the car and she drives into some train station>she thinks the ramp is like a carpark ramp (cars aren't even supposed to be in here)>eventually after driving past enough people and almost running them over she reaches a part where the car won't fit though>said I told you so, as we get out of the car and continue on foot into a shopping center like nothing even happened>she runs off ahead to meet me somewhere while I have to go take a piss>I really need to change clothes as well because I haven't in 3 days, so decide to do that as well>get into the bathroom stall>the wall is unusually high so people can see me from underneath>the other wall is missing completely and I have to "slide" it into place so people can't see me>the toilet is basically a raised hole in the ground, like those Asian toilets, but with a bunch of contraptions connected to it>the weird thing is though I'm in some weird Eastern European country that sounds Russian/Polish>I know because I take my pants off to start pissing and some guy sticks his head under the stall and starts speaking to me>he's some kind of mall security or something by the looks of it>he seems to give no shit about the fact that my dick is out right in front of him>this mf starts giving me a whole detailed explanation of how all the contraptions work in the toilet>like he's explaining how to operate the bumper car before I'm allowed to start pissing>it's in a completely different language but I somehow understand every word he's speaking>he still gives no fuck about me being naked>he even starts sticking his hand into the water and splashing around all the piss and shit in front of me like it's nothing>once he's done he gives me the thumbs up and I'm good to gomore to come

>>41939618>open the door, preparing for the worst (there's obviously some gimmick that's about to happen)>and of course there is, the stall in unusually thin, so thin to the point where it's uncomfortable and you can barely turn around>go in anyway, this is nothing compared so the squatting piss I just had to do>suddenly when I go to undress I have like 10 different layers of clothes on out of nowhere>I have like 2 shirts on, 2 jackets, a scarf, gloves, etc>I have to painstakingly and slowly undress each bit of clothing while stuck in this thin asf room that I can barely move around in>suddenly someone outside starts knocking on the door (of course)>he's going on about needing to use it or some bs, and I'm "misusing" it>he must've been watching me on the cameras>tell him to stfu and I'm almost done>poke my head over the stall which is apparently short asf>I can see into the other stalls, some guy is shitting up a storm in the one far over, and the guy in the one next to me genuinely looks dead/hunched over>next I see the guy outside my door who's still going off at me, looking like he's about to shit his pants right there and then>try to explain to him the dilemma I'm in but he's not having it>luckily the guy in the far over stall is finished and he goes to use it>I try to finish up my clothes changing as quickly as possible but it seems like every shirt I take off there's another one underneath>I just want to at least put pants on, put everything else in my bag and fuck off out of here>I'm taking so long to do this that the guy who was banging on my door earlier comes back to mine and starts complaining to me again>he goes to a nearby desk to get a special key to open the door so he can start yelling in my face>this girl who was at the desk as well comes over and starts going off on him, telling him to leave me alone
>>41939789>this girl must've been his gf or something>either way she started sticking up for me>I thanked her and started complimenting her>all of a sudden I went from being publicly humiliated with shit/piss theatrics for the past 30 minutes to rizzing up this guy's girl out of nowhere>he fucked off back to the desk and mumbled something about calling security>meanwhile I'm just chatting this girl up and wooing her>saying corny shit like "You know, I actually just got out of jail for doing (x), thanks for helping me" and it impressed her for some reason, even letting out a giggle saying "wow that's cool">I must've been opposing some political regime or something that she was really digging>I'm fucking finally almost done undressing but she starts going on about how interesting I am and she'd love to talk with me more>I say I'd love to as well, but I have to return home to my country and I'll be far away from her>starts writing her number down on a bit of paper, saying we should talk to each other and meet up one day>I gladly accept the invitation, I make sure to protect the scrap of paper like my life depends on it>lastly start trying to put a sock on and it's near impossible>guy comes over and says security is on its wayIt's at this point where I finally woke up and got kicked out of the dream. I've asked around about Dreams, and the answer I've gotten is this:Dreams are Karma.Dreams are aspects of your life you have not fully answered for, resolved, or come to terms with. Dreams are aspects of your life, and the only way you can learn about them is through first hand lived experience. This is a unique chance the universe has to interact with you, and show you things on a personalized level, for what you still have to come to grips with.

>>41898068I don't fight for consciousness in them anymore which is why I know I'm compelled to when it occurs. I just had one in some fun-house mansion. I was following someone who took me to a courtyard to meet an important man, as soon as I saw him everything went from hazy dream to crystal clear conscious perception. The man looked like Christopher Lee in a suit lol. I walked right up, smiled, and thrust out my hand. I think that surprised him, he took it to shake which is when I became surprised my hand was incredibly small. He didn't look like Lee anymore but he/it laughed and grabbed my hand with his other after I commented on the size. Then when I looked down at it he was suddenly a sort of automaton iron-man figure whose hand became mechanical and detached while I held it. He told me 'hold on!' so I clung to the glove with all my might as it started flying through the air behind me through the walls. I watched him/it grow smaller in the perspective tunnel of debris around me then abruptly awoke.

So, what’s the deal with precognitive dreams? Anybody have an answer?
>Ctrl + F>"Oneirosophy">0 resultsReally disappointing, but expected.
>>41898068Consider this. If the known universe was brain and every galaxy a neuron, the "brain" would have 20,000x more neurons than we do. Because the connections would be photonic in nature and photons do not experience time, it would essentially be the most imminently connected brain possible. What dreams do you suppose such a mind might make.
I had a bad breakup with a girl. I had a dream about two years later about her, and in the dream she was telling me that she lied and never loved me, and went on about how it was all fake. I woke up in the middle of this thinking that's not true, I knew she cared. Later that day I thought a lot about what that was and I have come to realize my brain was telling me this giving me a pep talk to get the fuck over her. It sort of worked but I reacted very harshly against it so much so that it woke me up. I think every night you dream your mind is performing healing acts, going over certain events and situations to help cleanse itself. Fascinating as fuck.
>>41943138>So, what’s the deal with precognitive dreams? At the very least, it can prove that dreaming is not confined to the internal mind like conventional interpretations state.
Feels bad watching all you people who have not learned how to see clearly. Your consciousness is attached to your body.. but not permanently. You can focus on many things.. anything really.. and create consciousness connections to other beings.. other people, places, or things. And they can to you. It's possible to become very able to perceive clearly and become well oriented to the context of the out of body consciousness states that are available to you while you, your body, are sleeping. You, your consciousness, is capable of becoming fully competent and well oriented to perceiving while your body is at rest.If you spend enough time looking at the things you can perceive while out of body during the sleep phase of consciousness you can gather enough experience to fully understand what you are seeing and what the actual context of these visions are.You have conscious and subconscious layers to the structure of your consciousness so there's a lot to learn. There are tangible and persistent things that you can discover about the out of body context. There are various sorts of beings that you can observe and interact with. There is a lot more to find than you are aware of.. but most of you will probably never value the available source of information enough to devote your time to becoming able to perceive within these cognitive realms. If you are given two lenses.. by itself this doesn't give you a functional telescope or microscope.. you have to learn how to position them before they are useful. Much of what you are seeing is very tangible and real and much of what you are seeing is being damaged by functions of your imagination through a process of subconscious association and image substitutions. You can start with simply remembering everything you have ever seen in dream. Your earliest memories of dreams.
>>41946713Maybe I have always been more adept than the other humans. I remember seeing the things my family was doing while collectively out of body during the night when I was 2.I asked them about it and they didn't remember but I knew what I had seen was some kind of real.. so I learned that they don't remember what they are doing and that you can't talk about it with them.My first fully conscious interaction with the beings from the stars was when I was 3 almost 4, also in what you would think of as dreamstate. Even besides the little guys who do the routine maintenance tending to the human population on the surface of earth there are other beings to discover. There is a lot to learn. It's a pain to me to watch you all struggling and suffering the effects of unawareness.
>>41946720The situation I was asking my family about was right around the time I turned 4. The situation is easy to cite when the memories were from because my family moved from Texas to Louisiana and my father went to Germany to secure our quarters at his new assignment in Mannheim Germany. My mother and brothers stayed with her mother for the couple of months we waited before going to join him there. I turned 4 while we were there. It's easy to identify when the memories were from because of the different locations.Once I got to Germany I had one bad "dream". The disembodied aspects of the perception are the main reason it's frightening. There are many things that you can see and many different reasons and causes for the various types of visions. If you don't put enough time towards building up your collection of experiences you simply won't have enough scope to become well oriented to the out of body context. You can use the out of body context to do functions such as remote viewing but it's not just faintly in the mind, it's the dominant foundation of your perception as you are immersed within your dreamstate consciousness.Even once you have developed the ability to see clearly and consistently there are even bigger lessons to discover. For some of these, you actually have to be in a location that has the things that you can perceive present. Proximity to others can also be a function that matters in creating connections. Your consciousness is an energetic field that is far more involved than you are seeing from the perspective of your physical body.
>“Whatsoever things are lovely and of good report, think on these things” [Philippians 4:8], for we become that with which we are en rapport. There is nothing to change but our concept of self. Humanity is a single being in spite of its many forms and faces, and there is in it only such seeming separation as we find in our own being when we are dreaming. The pictures and circumstances we see in dreams are creations of our own imagination and have no existence save in ourselves. The same is true of the pictures and circumstances we see in this dream of life. They reveal our concepts of ourselves. As soon as we succeed in transforming self, our world will dissolve and reshape itself in harmony with that which our change affirms. The universe which we study with such care is a dream, and we the dreamers of the dream, eternal dreamers dreaming non-eternal dreams. One day, like Nebuchadnezzar, we shall awaken from the dream, from the nightmare in which we fought with demons, to find that we really never left our eternal home; that we were never born and have never died save in our dream.> - Neville GoddardGod communicates with people through dreams, often providing guidance or prophetic messages. Notable examples include Joseph, who received dreams about his future, and the angelic messages given to figures like Joseph and Daniel in their dreams.

Had a pretty crazy dream last night, which continued into the morning (extra 30 or so minutes of sleep). Some dude was holding up a gas station, and threatened to shoot himself and his kid. I was (unfortunately) unarmed so I was scared shitless. He ends up shooting himself. Then the next dream is me being a key witness at the court case. Detailed courtroom with a judge, jury, audience, etc. It felt extremely surreal.

From visual observation I suspect he was the product of a breeding program and I am now gradually gathering historical imagery to find markings similar to the tattoos that were marking his body. Ötzi had something somewhat similar.I grew up subject to the Mk programs such as ultra etc.. but they didn't begin with me until I was in Mannheim as I described. I don't have to rely on others to report to me the nature of those programs.. I can compare my own recollections to those of others who have experience with this.
