an old dying village being modernized with skyscrapers and toilet offices at first floor in most buildings, which I could pass through only through those offices. Some of them had barely any walls, a lot of shit on the floor.

I had a dream once where I was in a place completely dark, but not dark like the absence of light, dark like there was actually nothing.
In the middle of my vision was an elderly woman, think stereotypical old witch, and she was staring at ME, not me in the dream but me in Real life.
She stared at me for a very long time and then she said "I am aware I am in a dream". I started panicking because I felt so vulnerable at this moment, then she said "I will do my best to kill you", and I woke up in a cold sweat.

I've had a couple of dreams that filled me with fear. I don't remember many of them that well, but the ones that stuck out the most to me were:
1. Pic rel. Left me with the strongest fear upon waking up.
2. The most real feeling one, I was drunk sleeping after a party, home alone, left my door slightly open (I didn't) and I could hear somebody rummaging through the house, but I couldn't move. I fell asleep hoping for it to fade. I think it was a dream rather than paralysis because I think I "woke up" mid-sleep for that. That was the scariest in-dream, but didn't leave me fearful when I woke up.
3. Not scared per se, but I was very distraught with fear of consequences and conscience after having dreams of fucking my dog, or fucking my sister (baby at the time). These had a positive note to them, because when I eventually woke up, I was insanely glad that I didn't really do it and that I wouldn't really do it in conscious life.

I woke up and my face was deformed. But not just deformed, it was like I was turned into an alien from another race. It looked a specific way, not just completely random, but I was insanely ugly. I felt hideous in the most horrible way imaginable and I thought that it was real because nothing apart from me was out of the ordinary. Pretty scary stuff.

I dreamt that I got drunk at a beach boardwalk and a friend convinced me to get a tattoo, which I would rather die than do IRL. I woke up the next morning (in the dream still) with a super cringey ‘90s style black flame tattoo on my left forearm, past my wrist so I couldn’t even cover it fully. A few years ago I dreamt that everyone received a psychic message from a demon called Paraxas (or Pataxas). The demon explained that he was going to destroy humanity and leave a monument to our destruction. It was terrifying because he spoke beyond a language, and you could feel the pure, extreme hatred in the message, for which there are no human words. That happens to me too, but without the bad thing happening at the end part. I have mundane dreams, then months later, an exact moment will stand out to me and I'll remember that I had already seen it in a dream I had before. I've tried to rationalize this away, but there have even been times where the dream had me in a place I had never been to before. Meaning that it would be impossible for me to have seen it before.
I have no idea what any of this means though or how I could ever possibly tap into this.

I don't know about scary, but I did have this one dream where some small gnome chick got punched in the gut by this huge werewolf guy and then raped. And she was kinda into it. It didn't traumatize me (I browse hentai sites pretty regularly) but it did piss me off for the rest of the week because I don't wanna be seeing that shit in my dreams. I NEVER have dreams that I actually enjoy IN ANY WAY, and to be subjected to that shit? Made me livid.

Was in a neighbourhood that resembles the one I live in - close to the edge of town and near the in between of the next one, just a few minutes away with forest and field in between, kind of hilly environment as well. Still suburbs tho

Anyway, walking around this environment, but in the dream there are parts where there is like abandoned stuff/fenced off stuff (old buildings etc). Way cooler than what it actually is IRL... and I sneak past the gates into the perimeter of this abandoned factory-asylum-type place. Windows lining the top and bottom floor, like 1900th century place, sinking into the ground with cracks

Muggy environment, kind of cloudy and dark now, anyway I sneak into this building and am exploring it. And there is this overbearing feeling I am being followed/not alone. This doesn't seem to bother me though as I continue searching the place.

Can only describe it as like brown-ish yellow, with some burgundy red in the rooms, cracks in the floor. BUT THE SMELL.... my god. It smelled like... old warm insulation, it was such a fucking dense smell, I can still imagine what it smelled like now. It felt so real

Anyway... catch a few glimpses of things moving around as I move from room to room, imagine pale white ghost in a dress, quickly seeing it move from around a door crack. Then the environment becomes darker... and there is a moment where I am caught up or unable to escape and get confronted face to face. And then the dream ends. I know nothing crazy but

This environment has been kind of prominent in a lot of my dreams... fuck man I could go on like 30 more times about the places from my dreams, if anyone wants me to describe them, let me know

The one that gets me the most to this day, is a dream in which I played the role of the observer. So almost like watching a movie on a screen or something. But I could see a man, who some how I intrinsically knew was some sort of martyr figure for a rebellion movement, was being lead into an isolated medical facility. The whole thing had vague dystopia future vibes. He is strapped into a chair in a sort of reclining position and I remember a machine descending from the ceiling a mixture of a hydraulic press and a long razor blade to function as a guillotine. The machine sliced three times between the man’s legs, castrating him, and there was this horrible screaming. Animalistic thrashing and just intense gutteral screams, and then the man fell completely still and silent. No slow wind down just, completely limp. And that silence held for a moment. Then he snapped upright, in a motion more like a marionette than a person, a movement that felt wholly unnatural then he opened his eyes which seemed far to large to fit his head and had turned completely red except for the pin-prick pupils and in a voice not of his own, deep and booming all he said was “Shelmotok” as in shell-mo-tok, like some sort of name and at the same time, every piece of glass in the room exploded
And then I woke up

i woke up from a dream, while dreaming. like having a dream - being in a dream world - and waking up to normal world/new environment, and then talking about it with someone, and then actually waking up from that dream to IRL.

another was, you know in the sopranos where tony is dreaming and he tries to pick up the bullets to shoot his coach after they fall and they go all mushy, i was in a dream at a party where i was cutting up a line of cocaine and the line got all mushy as i was cutting it and turned into tiny little LSD blotters with the same consistency shown in the sopranos episode when tony tries to get the bullets. it felt very weird the way it cut up. super weird

There's so many... one that is really cool, at least in my opinion, is this version of a place near my house again. So basically this girls house, she lives in what's basically a historic mansion type place.. like you need to put in a number at the gate and you drive up a long ass hill to get to her house and there are other driveways and places on the way but it leads up to her house at the top.

Anyway, in the dream, I walked down the road from the suburb area to the part where it starts getting more barren and country ish in between the 2 cities, and walk up this trail thing to meet her. Imagine a grey, cool-ish day, walking and waiting around the forest with trees and light fog everywhere.

Eventually we meet up and start walking around, and we go down this one part of the trail to like a back yard area... so we go up to the top, and through some of the trees but still forest, and then it opens up, and around the tree line, there is like a wicked courtyard, surrounded by huge concrete columns. Imagine like the picture but way bigger and leading onto farm land and no walls outside of the columns. Anyway we chill together talking, walking around the column area, and make our way back into the forest.

Back through the forest where we were before there was a part from the trail that went to like an open soccer field where you had to walk down a hill, and then after walking from there backed onto a suburb area. Wet and dewey but everything super chill man

Fuck now I'm low key getting sad I can't go to these beautiful places IRL

22 years old and i can still remember this dream perfectly. the feeling of dread i felt when the black object appeared in the sky has never been replicated.

a few years ago i saw this image online, and it pretty much captures the essence of the dream. it's almost as if the black object is mocking me. it knows what it showed me, it devouring everything in existence.

i very rarely have frightening dream experiences, but recently at one point i was close to entering a lucid dream, but i knew something felt off. i was wandering through my house except all the lights were off, i heard voices around me (might have been sounds from irl?) and was able to sense some shadowy figure in the dark halls. eventually it overtook me and attempted to pounce on me, but i forced myself awake before it could do anything bad (i have a knack for waking myself up in the nick of time)
unless you count this one silly dream i had when i was like four and a little cartoon skeleton chased me around my house

I know it doesn't sound scary but it's hard to convey the feeling of dread. I don't usually remember my dreams but this one was years ago and I never forgot it for some reason. I think I posted it once before looking for an interpretation and never got one
