How can i include occult ritual magick into the process of music creation? I like making music for cool sounds but i want to experiment making music with a higher purpose. Any creatives here that can give me some tips to start?

Making art while having a deity invoked, every one of them can make art anyway

Bump.
Make me good.
I think music theory is technically occult.
Vibration correlation, harmony, resonance and the effect they have on the brain.
Ive noticed I play better without brain thinking too much.

>actually play an instrument
>don't do dumb computer shit that sounds like everyone else
>even if you want the “electronic sound”, get a synth and actually play it instead of just faggily “mixing” other sounds
Then channel energy out and through your fingertips/palms when you play (depending on instrument)

I love calling on my astral neighbours and assblasting them with funny tunes whenever the consequences of their inept decisionmaking leads to unfavourable outcomes. It takes some meditation and careful listening.

To answer truthfully. Music and rhythm summarize and evoke emotion and culture. A higher purpose for music making would be to explore musical soundscapes that would bring about a partial awakening within yourself (the music of your higher world home plane) or others. Music is a reminder for the spirit.

Music and sound are some of the oldest magical tools, but they're not 'occult' per se.
>Ive noticed I play better without brain thinking too much
There's a state of inspiration that works beyond the immediate feeling, somewhere on the subtle level, similar to the clarity you get during meditation. It's like there was something, not necessarily major, that needed to be created, and you were chosen to create it.

Jerking off yourself with your energy field isn't any better than mixing and mastering an entire track without touching an instrument directly anon. It'd the endresult and the effect on people. Feelings are just feelings.

I knew at least one person would get butthurt over that.
It’s not the same thing. One takes talent and practice and the other can be lazily slopped together by literally anyone.

Do certain deities/entities correspond with a particular style of music. Like one for ambient, jazz, electronic, metal, experimental etc?
>>41925107
>Ive noticed I play better without brain thinking too much.
Same, you get that feeling of being in the zone and its like the music just comes together itself. but sometimes i have experiences where tracks i put a lot of mental effort into really shaped how the sound came out, and in a way that i really liked.
>>41925159
I use a midi keyboard and design my own synths using the digital audio tools that came with my DAW. does that count?
>explore musical soundscapes that would bring about a partial awakening within yourself
How can / should i do this?
>>41925174
Very good way of putting it! Thats how i feel but you worded it much better

I think that's a misguided viewpoint and presumptive. Folks I worked with had a few titles under their name without necessarily being leet at a particular instrument. They were generalists and their works were not one dimensional.

>How can / should i do this?
The question -is- the way. Meditate and play around, search for the instrumentation and the tonality that evokes something within you. Anything which does not evoke that deepfelt recognition isnt it.

Is that your cat's OP
I remember the process of each drawing when I look at them no matter how old. They come back vivid and I want to integrate them into dreams and reality experience. Oddly I never really dream much about art but Im not good with dreams as all I do is longing and frustration. I notice all my cool thing about art are locked away in strict time limits because I havent made myself able to relax with them
I don't do a lot of music but usually when you are playing a music you can percieve meaning similar to a language. The meaning through a language also comes with a very precise time limit that you want to explore, same with reading and writing

I think of five elements as five different parts of my composition.

Fire is what gives the music energy and drive, like, louder volume, harder kick, punchier snare, snappy hats, bass with the huge wubs, that rise before the beat drops, builds, crescendo, etc

Air is what creates the feeling of space in the track, audio positioning, reverb, the mixdown and mastering process, special effects and audio chain processing, compression, gate, all that kinda technical stuff.

Earth is the tangible structure and skeleton of the composition, the arrangement itself, the physical instruments, the DAW, the musical key, the pace and tempo, the measure length, the note structure, the recording equipment, and also the way it physically sounds. The objective "reality" of the music.

Water is how it feels, the harmony, the music theory, the moods, the vibes, the kinds of subjective stuff that's hard to quantify but part of music, part of every song. It's not what's there, but what's missing. The zenlike flaw, the feeling of incompleteness that the music brings out of you, reminding you of something you didn't know you had lost or didn't know you wanted. It has to feel familiar, but new, like a missing piece of something you needed in your life, but you can't quite describe.

Finally, Spirit, the most elusive of the elements, but actually not hard to understand. This is like Jungian archetypes, the collective unconscious, the symbolic, the abstract, it's the idea that your music represents something bigger, something larger, it requires you to imagine we live in a universe with godlike entities such as "war", and "math", and "sex", and "money", which are not tangible, but they are the invisible containers for raw infinite power that holds everything together and gives reality meaning and purpose. Everything serves them in some sense, so ask yourself, what Gods does my music serve?

That's how I think about music through the framework of elemental alchemy.

Music is an ancient vehicle for magic. People would sing their spells and prayers so they would not forget any part of them. This is why you see shamans dancing and singing! Choose your words and instruments carefully and you can do the same thing.

Thanks for the tip but this is kind of vague and general information. Im looking for a bit more detailed and maybe nuanced info and examples
Especially id like to hear from /x/ occult magician artists, that have experience with this subject(if they even exist here)
