God is a woman!

Come discuss the worship and conjuration of Ishtar, Inanna, Aphrodite, other historically related spirits, and their entourages.

"Appearing in more literary compositions than any other deity, Inanna embodied endless complexities and contradictions: an unbridled goddess at once upholding and destroying the status quo; a passionate goddess engaging in romantic and destructive erotic love; a heavenly goddess who trod the underworld; a feminine goddess who was sometimes portrayed as a bearded warrior; and a mercurial goddess bestowing tender mercies even as she moved freely from one conquest to another."
"[Astarte] is often paired with Baal and also — in a warlike form called Astoreth — with Set. The Mesopotamian goddesses Ishtar and Inanna are other forms of this goddess. The mysteries of Inanna and Dumuzi, Ishtar and Tammuz, and of Astarte and Adonis, were an influence upon the Egyptian mysteries of Isis and Osiris, in which a Queen Astarte appears. Given the combined influence of the cult of Isis, and the Syrian Goddess, on the later Christian cult of Mary, Astarte is among the most influential and important of all Classical deities."

If you're interested in working with the Queen of Heaven, the best things you can do are to start meditating, making offerings, and maybe banishing. Preferably do all three daily, or at least a few times a week. This will get her attention and improve your ability to communicate with her, as well as generally train your occult abilities.

"How do I get in touch with the Queen of Heaven?"

This is a question often asked here. One way to get into contact with one form or another of Our Lady is with simple prayer. This is of course very good regardless of your ability to sense spirits, especially when accompanied by an offering. When you make an offering, make it as nice and clean as you can. Don't offer bodily fluids. Food, incense, and alcohol are all good.

That said, most of us will need to work at our spirit sense abilities before we can get a response. For this, you can do shamatha meditation (I'll post a guide if someone has trouble finding one, but a simple Google should bring up many results). There's also two meditations called Looking Past the Veil and Pillar and Spheres from the book "Consorting With Spirits" by Jason Miller. This book is highly worth buying or pirating in general, especially because the main operation within is a conjuration of the chthonic from of Our Lady, Astaroth. You could also learn tummo or practice any other form of mysticism that is meant to yield siddhi/magical abilities. I can repost the old /omg/ OP if anons are interested in the old library or the crash courses to different traditions within.

And then you could work Rod and Ring or Liber Astarte or any of the various grimoires that can summon Astaroth or the Scrying Bowl of Aphrodite once you've done this every day for awhile and feel your power building. And if you don't want to work any of those, I hope you like dream work. Get good at lucid dreaming, get a strong practice of devotion going, and you could meet Our Lady in your dreams. Maybe she'll even teach you practices that you could contribute to the thread or just for your own benefit.

What are you looking for when worshipping a goddess like Ishtar? I've never been to these threads and I don't believe in much things honestly, I'm not religious but I do look for answers through a number of different things such alchemy, hermeticism and myths... But what's the thought process behind worshipping Ishtar? Why do you do it and what made you do it? Because I don't feel like it's something most people will blindly follow because they grew up with like christianity and islam or judaism for example. This is very specific and very old.

She's the oldest goddess still actively revered by humanity. First she was Inanna, then as she moved west she became Ishtar, Astarte, Aphrodite, and eventually Mary Mother of God. The Queen of Heaven represents civilization, love, and desire. She can help with almost anything you need due to her spheres of love and war.
My interpretation is that she deeply loves humanity and wants us to thrive. This is why she is still around while so many other gods have been forgotten. She's here for all of us, if we just reach out.
>>
She's going to use you like all of her other followers.

There are legitimate reasons why no one follows her anymore; she wasn't merely "repressed" out of existence. She is evil, plain and simple.

Don't be ridiculous.
The Catholic Church still reveres the Queen of Heaven. Much of the world still worships her as a loving figure capable of great, helpful miracles. The ancients viewed her as a very helpful and kind goddess, and she was very popular. One of her epithets in Greece was Aphrodite Pandemos, meaning "of the people."

Aphrodite and Adonis, Inanna with Dumuzi. The divine masculine is accounted for. That said, Sophia and Tiamat have nothing to do with each other. And Sophia herself is only somewhat related to the Queen of Heaven current
>>
>>41943791
>Sophia herself is only somewhat related to the Queen

Can you explain what you understand further?

Sophia is the divine female and tiamat was that incarnation of the feminine divine if I'm not mistaken, Sophia being an aeon and all that

Timat and Sophia both created without their divine paring and thus created imperfection and imbalance ?

Tiamat isn't the divine feminine. In fact she is more like a monster representative of primordial chaos. Straight up.
Sophia is the divine feminine in some forms of gnosticism, but not all divine feminines are the same, have the same role, or are even historically related. I'm not deeply read enough on gnosticism to say for sure, but I've heard others who are say that Sophia doesn't have much to do with the Queen of Heaven current. What she does have in common is through her historical relationship with Mary Mother of God, from what I remember.

She identifies as Aphrodite. The others are stories which are mostly inaccurate, and even mythology abotu Aphrodite is unreliable. Like if you're Fred, and people tell stories about Fred, some exaggerated and false, but then they start calling Fred Charlie too, and you're like hang on a minute I'm Fred but cool it with the stories.

Nice UPG anon. It's perfectly fine for your own practice but don't act like you know better than the ancients and more recent magicians who we have recorded working with her in their own ways
>>

In February 2023 I experienced something that I guess could be called divine inspiration or revelation.
I literally heard music in my head, like it was being streamed into my brain.
Some kind of stringed instruments, drums, sparse vocals.
At the start the voices slowly chanted, syllable by syllable: I-NA-N-NA.

I was noodling on bass when it happened. I picked it up for the first time in years a few weeks before.
I knew how to play along to it from start to finish the moment I heard the first notes.

Because of this event I decided to try making music seriously again.
However for almost 3 years I had been barely making any progress towards finished works and releasing them.
I picked up electric guitar and got better at production-related stuff.
At the end of 2025 I decided that I can't put it off any longer.

This is a stripped-down rock/metal-ish version of what I heard, recorded live in 1 take.
Just 1 guitar and sequenced beforehand taiko drum samples.
It's basic and my playing is messy, but I feel that it gets the essence across.
It's the best I can manage for the time being in any case.

I already said you have nice UPG anon. I'm happy for you. Maybe some anons will start following you as a prophet of some kind, but I doubt it. I certainly will not be among them unless you can demonstrate the ability to produce miracles.

Probably not, but you're allowed to worship multiple gods. If you feel drawn to do so, worship Frejya too

-I don't know what UPG means but I'm not asking.
-Prophecy isn't necessarily about people believing in magic. Look where that got us with Abrahamism. What I said for the job could have come from terrestrial sources, but some didn't. I don't know how to do "miracles", but I've seen them, which convinced me beyond a reasonable doubt it wasn't all imagined. I think that was the point.
-My posts here are for people who already believe in magic in case they want to get it right. I'm not shouting on a street corner.

UPG is Unverified Personal Gnosis, i.e. conclusions that come from your practice that can't be verified through scripture or tradition. As a magician you are entitled to it, but not to act like yours is the only true way. For that you'd need a new tradition to develop over time, with ritual experts checking each other's work. For instance, maybe you are right and more practitioners will agree with you or independently come to the same conclusions. But more likely the tradition would develop in ways we can't even imagine right now.

That's one valid definition, but UPG is often used in the way I just described.
Though I'd submit that what you said is the entire point of developing a tradition — developing our own adepts and eventually masters.

I'm just a prophet afaik, not a magician or adept or student. Wasn't into supernatural belief before it happened, having concluded ~25 years ago that anything is possible but it was pointless to try to figure it out with no damn information whatsoever.

For most people to believe you're a prophet, you'd have to be capable of causing miracles to prove it. You should be able to make people fall in love or manifest Our Lady in the sky like happened in Guadalupe or tell people who their soul mates are or guarantee victory in battle or somesuch.
At the very least you should have profound teachings that make people want to follow you as students — that's how you really know if the god(s) are on your side. If you're a prophet what kind of tradition do you uphold? What practices and virtues do you promote? How do these things benefit people? You should be able to offer extensive and profound answers to all of these questions and more, if you are truly a prophet.

>Olympus awaits
What does this mean? In Hellenic cosmology, mortals don't go to Olympus as a rule. Only the greatest heroes go to Elysium, which is still in the underworld, or sometimes the sky in the form of constellations.
