This is the most disturbing photo ever taken

much as I hate you faggots spamming saturn stuff, it's sorta hard to complain when born with a 1st-house saturn

you're still dumb though

Why does it disturb you?
>>
>>41968244
NASA is an intelligence agency, so I don't know if I can trust this photo
>>
>>41968244
Me, personally, I find all gas giants unsettling
>>
>>41968831
I NEED to see what's inside. Until then, highly disturbing.
>>
Weird, I was just thinking about how fucking weird Saturn is last night
>>
>>41968244
Not as disturbing as the unsolicited vagina pics your mom sent me. Looks like a mouldy walnut whip that’s been beaten with a hammer.

It’s just clouds bro. Big storm like when it rains but different. Nothing that matters, so stop asking about it bro. Wanna join my discord next month? Gotta scan your face first for your own safety bro. Then we can talk about our true beliefs and plans and secrets.

I saw Saturn through binoculars during the great conjunction in 2020. Pretty much looked like this but the rings were brighter and on an axis of 10 and 4 o'clock. It did have an ominous vibe.
>>
>>41972427
I saw Saturn through telescope at Griffith Observatory. Crazy shit.

sounds comeing from saturn.
too bad they didn't reard near the rings
it sounds like people screaming

Remember I had a crazy nightmare once where I had merged myself with the planet Saturn. My vision went black, all of my limbs became impossible to move heavy, and I became blackness and death itself.
11/10 would recommend it, it was fun

It should be. That's a cancer saturn, my ex' saturn sign.

True NASA is a total psy-op.
However, this kind of picture (OP), can be taken with the best amateur telescopes on the market, on exceptional conditions (dark sky, no pollution).
Try a 24 inch dobsonian, on a dark sky (bortle 1), and no atmospheric pollution. You'll see an even better Saturn than OP's picture.
>>
>>41972427
>>41972561
Does it have a more ominous vibe than other planets? I really wanna buy a telescope but I think I'd piss myself if I actually focused on Saturn. It unsettles me, idk why.
>>
>>41973458
I have an extremely retarded set of questions:
>1) Are the phases of the rings based on OUR (Earth's) rotation, i.e., are the rings stationary & only shift according to our tilting perspective?
>2) Or does Saturn itself tilt on its own axis?
>3) Or does Saturn itself sit stationary (unmoving) and only its rings move?

Thank you in advance for answering my dumbass.
>>
>>41973458
world would be a lot better if nobody had the cancer sign anywhere in their chart. it's just straight obnoxiousness
>>
>>41972934
Because someone else posted that it was and now morons spam it ad nauseum. 99.9% of threads on this board are recycled garbage. There’s little OC or critical thinking.

As Cancer Rising I can confirm it's a shit sign. Luckily for me I have Sag sun and majority of chart in Capricorn.

Same as Jupiter's, "diffuse," "fuzzy," and partially dissolved, appearing to mix gradually into the surrounding layers of metallic hydrogen.
Don't trust high school scientists and "cores"
>>
>>41975503
Mars and Saturn do very bad there. Sun is just slightly uncomfortable in cancer because it is a very feminine sign and sun is a masculine planet.
Jupiter and Moon do very well in cancer. Venus and Mercury are just neutral about it

Having a strong Saturn has its downsides, gives that cunt more power to fuck you over, I have Saturn in the 7th house and it’s so incessant because Saturn likes being there. It’s like banging your head against a wall over and over again
>>
>>41978236
Prominence and dignity are two whole different things. Having a high dignity saturn can only be a good thing.

It's all about where Saturn is in its orbit.
Saturn acts like a gyroscope so its rotational axis is *always* pointing in the same direction no matter where it is in the orbit. Sometimes its north pole is tilting towards us and sometime it tilts away from us.
This is the same principle behind Earth's seasons.

I made this animation to illustrate this better. The orbits are to scale but I had to make Saturn 2000x bigger than it is and the Earth 4000x bigger.

*Saturn's rotational axis precesses over time but this is a slow process so during short timespans we can pretend that it is constant. Same for the Earth.
>>
>>41980250
Wow thank you for the animation, anon. That was thoughtful of you. Really helped me understand better. Much obliged!
>>
>>41975493
Not retarded at all. Intelligent and curious. Unlike the uninformed retards that typically infest Saturn threads.
>>
>>41972300
Saturn is the only planet that can be seen with the cheapest optical telescope without any adjustments.
>>
>>41978236
try having a 1st house saturn, it's like the wall fell on you and broke your legs

Do you happen to have any recommendations on a beginner telescope for a novice? I would like to see some planets but don't want to break the bank.

NextStar is a good intro scope but if the cheapest is too much fine a used Newtonian or something
>>
>>41984895
My cheap 127EQ was like $90 on a amazon. Typically you want the largest diameter mirror you can buy. Bigger light bucket = more photons = sharper image. Cheap scopes will essentially just resolve planets as points of light and you won't see much detail.

My much nicer Celestron C6 allows me to see transits of moons on Jupiter and features like the great red spot, but it's only barely capable of getting Saturn anywhere close to the detail in op's photo. It's unfortunately not a cheap hobby if you're wanting to match Google images of various objects but still deeply rewarding.

My coworkers felt the same when I stealthily released a massive gas giant from myanus into their nostrils during a crowded elevator ride the other day kek

The ancients must 've been onto something because the planets do have 'vibes'. Jupiter definitely felt more jovial with Saturn sinisterly lurking behind. Here's a crappy pic I took from my cell phone in 2020.
