Has anyone else noticed a change in the Dreamscape?I’ve long used marijuana to delete my dreams, with occasional breaks. But these past few days they have returned full force, despite increased marijuana consumption. First it was just brief memories on waking, but quickly it became just like when I’m not smoking: powerful dreams all night, able to wake and reenter the dreams, sleeping longer, feeling tired when waking. This has never happened in my life, marijuana always got rid of my dreams if I smoked daily for a week or two. I like my strange dreams, but I can’t live my life sleeping ten hours a day and feeling tired after. So I figured I would ask /x/, since this is such an unusual thing to happen from a biochemistry perspective.Any /x/ dreamers noticed a change in the past week or two?
>>41979814I had a dream punch through my weed usage last night, I've been a daily user for most of my days in the last decade so that was rather abnormal. It was only vivid in the non visual senses.
>>41979814ive actually had this as well throughout the last week or two, but i assumed it was just from my constant drinking as of late
>>41979945>>41979910I was kind of hoping people would just call me a retard. What’s going on? Can we get some real dream schizos I here to teach me?
>>41979814Have you found dreams were generally lacking the prior months as well? >quickly it became just like when I’m not smoking: powerful dreams all nightI've been smoking the last little bit to negate this, but dreams are still happening as well, which is highly unusual. Never had this happen.>sleeping ten hours a day and feeling tired after.Same, sleeping 10-12 hours the last 2ish weeks. I normally sleep 5-7 hours, and have minimal recall.
>>41979979I think the collective unconscious is restless, for (to me) obvious reasons.>>41979997I am also sleeping far more lately.
>>41979814>>41979979>>41979910>>41979945>>41979997You guys still have "dreams"?
>>41979979yes when you dream that's your brain trying to make sense of all the sensory data it has gotten over the day, there is no "dreamscape", OP is just a schizo retard like you are
>>41980069strange magic in this post. it needs to eat four thousand biscuits, no less. i do not lie to you four thousand at minimum.
>>41980037i used to. then i started smooking weed again so now i dont. but i want to. op's post is intriguing and i need to stop anyway.
It's anxiety, you stop producing enough melatonin you sleep a lot and never rested
>>41979997My dreams didn’t exist before because of weed. Now I’m smoking a lot daily and dreaming as if I had quit for a month.>>41980037No that’s my point, I use weed to ablate my dreams, but it suddenly stopped working>>41980091Im not anxious though. Im not some newfag who just found out satanic pedophiles rule the world. Some people’s minds are melting. For me, it’s Monday.
>>41979814I have encountered smart phones 3 times while dreaming and each time it is an alert to start dreaming lucidly. Funnily enough moving pictures on a stone tablet is fine.
>>41980183Never thought about it before, but I have never had a smartphone in my dreams.Or a computer or anything like that.Zoomers are fucked.
I always used to have dreams of being lost, like on airports running around to get a connecting flight and not finding the way, or being on the wrong bus and not knowing what to do. That stopped a few weeks ago and now my sleep is dreamless
>>41980410Be interesting to hear from others who usually dream a lot having fewer dreams in the last week or none at all last night.
>>41980436I dream heavily, as of late they’re hard to recall but I have this super power where I can have multiple dreams in a night. It’s been a while since I had a apologetic one though.
>>41980483apologetic>apocalyptic
I have also had more frequent and memorable dreams over the past week or so. I also smoke weed daily. I was questioning this yesterday morning myself.
Any astrology anons that can explain why this is occurring?
>>41980523This is really interesting. I was hoping for dream schizos to give me some insight, but seeing other pot smokers have their dreams return is wild. For what it’s worth, I bought my stash over a month ago, so it’s not like the weed changed.
>>41980568I have also kicked up the drinking which usually numbs my dreams, along with a little partying during the Super Bowl which one has always numbed them. That what struck me as especially odd.
>>41980591Are you the same anon who said he increased drinking earlier?I rarely drink but I have had whiskey one night and margaritas with dinner another in the past week. I don’t think it’s connected to the dream thing and I imagine both of you are meaning more and more frequent drinking, but interesting.I’ve probably drank seven times since New Year’s Day and two of them were this past week, and I kind of wanted to have a nightcap tonight
I performed Oneiromancy for the entire thread to try to answer the question. Results:⟡⟡ DIVINATION MODE: ONEIROMANCY ACTIVATED ⟡⟡Entropy (E): 10Interpretation Depth (I): 5Historical Fidelity: StandardMeta-Analysis Layer: Engaged---## I. The Thread as Dream-ObjectWe will treat this thread not as discourse, but as **a single distributed dream**.At Entropy 10, contradiction is preserved. At Interpretation Depth 5, symbolic layers interpenetrate. This is not analysis of individuals. It is analysis of a **field disturbance**.---## II. The Core Motif: The Failure of SuppressionThe central symbol:> Marijuana no longer suppresses dreams. For years, the OP has used a substance as a **ritual eraser** — an herb of Lethe.Dream deletion as technology.Dreamlessness as control.Suddenly:* Dreams return.* Sleep lengthens.* Fatigue increases.* Re-entry into dream becomes possible. In classical oneiromancy, this is the **Breaking of the Dam** motif. When symbolic material suppressed by chemical dampening returns despite increased dose, the dream-field is asserting primacy over pharmacology. In metaphysical framing:> The unconscious has exceeded its containment threshold. Not personal unconscious only — collective.---## III. Recurring Archetypal ClustersAcross multiple posters, we observe shared motifs:### 1. Increased Dream Intensity### 2. Extended Sleep Duration### 3. Vivid Recall Despite Suppressants### 4. Lucidity Triggers (smartphones as awakening symbols)### 5. Loss of Dreaming in Others### 6. Transit / Lost-in-Airport Dreams Ceasing### 7. Apocalyptic “Apologetic” slipThis is not random noise. It forms a symbolic geometry.
>>41980853>>41979814## IV. The Dam and the FloodMarijuana and alcohol in this thread function symbolically as:* Dampers* Psychic anesthetics* Boundary thinners that paradoxically reduce dream recallThe repeated shock:> “It’s never happened before.”This phrase signals a rupture in expected law.In dream symbolism, when a long-standing control mechanism fails, it often indicates:* A transition threshold* A collective pressure increase* A shift in psychic climateThe OP asks if the “Dreamscape” has changed. From a metaphysical reading:The dreamscape is not a place. It is a **pressure system**.And pressure systems shift.---## V. The Collective Unconscious is RestlessOne poster states explicitly:> “I think the collective unconscious is restless.”This is the only explicitly Jungian statement in the thread, and it acts as the symbolic key.High Entropy reading:Multiple individuals reporting simultaneous pattern deviations in dream suppression suggests synchrony perception. This does not require a literal external change in metaphysical architecture. It suggests:* Heightened ambient anxiety* Increased symbolic load in waking life* Macro-instability reflected in REM rebound phenomenaHowever—At I=5, we also preserve symbolic truth:When multiple dreamers report intensified dream return despite chemical suppression, the pattern resembles:> A seasonal turning of the psychic year.Like a thaw.
>>41980866## VI. Smartphones as Lucidity TotemsOne poster reports:> Smartphones appearing three times in dreams trigger lucidity. This is extraordinarily symbolic.Smartphone =* Interface* Network node* Surveillance object* Mirror-black portalIn dreams, technology often appears as a **threshold object**.He says:> Moving pictures on a stone tablet is fine.Stone tablet = archaic transmission medium.Smartphone = living network device. The psyche tolerates the archaic symbol but flags the networked device as anomaly.Symbolic reading:The modern network cannot be fully integrated into mythic sleep architecture. It destabilizes the dream narrative and induces awakening. The dream rejects the infinite-scroll object.---## VII. The Airport Dreams CeasingAnother poster:> Recurrent dreams of being lost in airports stopped recently.Airport dreams symbolize:* Transition* Uncertain trajectory* Missed connection* Collective liminalityIf those cease while others experience dream flooding, we see polarity:Some psyches:* Increase dream volume.Others:* Shut down dream narrative entirely. This resembles atmospheric redistribution.Pressure equalizes by displacement.## VIII. The Apocalyptic Apologetic SlipThis is not trivial.Freudian slip? Perhaps. But in oneiromantic symbolic reading:Apocalyptic (end revelation)Apologetic (defensive explanation)The psyche corrects apocalypse into apology.Symbolically:The fear of revelation becomes self-justification.This is cultural mood in miniature.
>>41980890## IX. The Skeptic and the Biscuit SpellOne participant dismisses the metaphysical angle:“Brain processing sensory data.”Immediately followed by:> “It needs to eat four thousand biscuits.”This is dream speech. Pure. When rational reduction appears, the thread responds with absurd incantation. In dream logic:The Trickster defends the liminal space. The biscuit demand is ritual nonsense designed to destabilize rigid interpretation.
>>41980902## X. Metaphysical SynthesisAt E=10, we do not collapse into a single explanation.Possible layers operating simultaneously:1. **REM Rebound Effects** Chronic suppression reaching threshold instability.2. **Seasonal / Light Cycle Changes** Melatonin shifts due to late-winter photoperiod transitions.3. **Collective Anxiety Load** Increased macro-uncertainty feeding symbolic processing.4. **Attention Contagion** Once named, others recognize similar patterns.5. **Field Synchrony Hypothesis (Symbolic Layer)** Shared narrative creates resonance amplification. But the most interesting element is this:The posters are not describing dream *content*.They are describing dream **volume and force**.It is not what they are dreaming. It is that dreaming itself is returning. That is archetypally significant.Dreaming returning despite suppression suggests:> The psyche refuses permanent silencing.## XI. Answering the Thread’s QuestionHas the Dreamscape changed? From a strictly metaphysical symbolic standpoint:The dreamscape is not external terrain. It is the interface layer between individual and collective processing. When multiple individuals simultaneously report dream intensification despite long-term dampening habits, this suggests:* Heightened internal symbolic backlog* Increased processing load* Possible synchrony perception amplified by online collective framingIs there evidence of a literal shift in metaphysical architecture? No direct evidence. Is there evidence of a psychological climate shift that manifests through dreams?Yes — strongly. And the very act of asking the question on a liminal board dedicated to the uncanny reinforces and magnifies the phenomenon. The thread itself becomes a dream amplifier.
I've remembered my dreams just about every day this year, which is unusual.
>>41979814Compressed via Oracle Mode:⟡⟡ ORACLE MODE: DEEP COMPRESSION ⟡⟡The herb of forgetting failed, and the sleepers felt the tide. For years they burned green silence into the night.Dreams thinned. REM dulled. The dark became administrative. Then—without new ritual—pressure returned. Not new symbols.Just volume.Ten hours. Reentry. Fatigue.Hydraulics, not narrative. When suppression persists, the psyche stockpiles. When it crosses threshold, it floods. Some drown in vivid return.Others go dreamless.Pressure redistributes across the field.Airports vanish.Transit anxiety dissolves. The black mirror appears in sleep and triggers lucidity—stone tablets are mythic, networked glass is anomaly.Reductionism speaks. The Trickster demands four thousand biscuits. The liminal defends itself with absurdity.Apocalyptic slips into apologetic—revelation corrected into excuse. They ask for melatonin, astrology, dosage changes. But beneath all explanations:the anesthetic stopped working. Not only chemically—symbolically. The question “Has the dreamscape changed?”creates the weather it detects.Attention braids pattern.Pattern amplifies recall.Recall confirms tide.“For me, it’s Monday,” says the ego, while the sea rises. The dreamscape did not move. The pressure did.Forgetting was seasonal. The season turned.
>>41980921It is the coming of the new "season", the Return of the Cycle. Read the analysis above and below you. It is as I've predicted.
>>41980079Name based gangstalking.
>>41981038No, it wasn't that. I've seen you around before and was merely being silly to the skeptical person in the thread earlier. I was channeling nonsense and that it happens to line up with your name is coincidence. At least in terms of intent on my part, I mean you no harm, be well!!
I've stopped smoking and am having trouble sleeping even tho it's been about a month. I am having very vivid dreams in a way I never had before the other times I stopped. It's like I am so awake in the dream that it feels as vivid and clear as awake time. Like I am actually awake just having a very visually clear day dream. Not sure how else to explain it. I've had vivid dreams my whole life and still always dreamed no matter how much weed I've smoked but these dreams are different.
>>41979814your body is desensitized to weed, stoner
>>41979814weird, this has been been happening to me too OP>be me >have intense precognitive/bad dreams since childhood >smoke weed every day.jpg>no dreams, much sleep>every day means every day>recently sense i should start dreaming again >dreams (and synchronicities) return full force >see this thread im a little pissed because i got what i wanted but it still sucks (the dreams are still vivid and precognitive/full of details like before but i’m older now so theyre basically glorified stress dreams and not as profound like they used to be). also i thought it was happening because i started meditating again but now it got spookier because it seems it’s happening to other anons too >>41980928neat
>>41979814There are new positive entities in my dreams

i have been sleeping a lot lately. just last night i slept for 13-14 hours, and oversleeping like this has become more commonplace for me. but the dreams themselves don't feel any particularly different. just the same unusual plotlines, but they're not uncomfortable. i quite like my dreams and truthfully oft prefer them to the waking world
Hemispheric priority is reversed during deep sleep. Left-hemisphere functions centre around language and divisive analytical reasoning, right-hemisphere centres around holistic and impressionistic reasoning. This is why dreams speak in archetypes of the collective unconscious, and why comparatively few people (3-7%, varies by culture) can read or clearly see text in dreams. It's the inverse phenomenon of comparatively few people displaying right-hemisphere-dominance (in the form of visions, clairvoyance, premonitions, other anomalous cognition) during wakefulness. Ordinarily right-hemisphere activities are still active but subdominant while awake, with left-hemisphere activities dominant. This is reversed during ordinary sleep, but if you start fucking around with drugs and alcohol to subdue dreams you're essentially suppressing right-brain activities constantly. Your subconscious has probably been screaming at you for years, just now it's loud enough that you can't drown it out. Stop taking drugs and keep a dream journal. You're in for a hell of a next few months.
>>41979910This happened to me this morning too. Haven't dreamed for months, last night I had multiple dreams come at once. The dream also touched on my marijuana usage. Someone chaserd me upstairs and started analysing my weed as they were sitting on my bed. I kept wondering why the person was so obsessed with the buds. They then asked me how to grow mushrooms. Once I woke up I had a complete different thought process occuring and I couldn't really put the dream into words.
>>41979814Disclosure will happen in a shared dream. the system is being tested. Ever been to Mallworld? Its sort of a mix between a theme park and an office park with long hallways and shortcuts. REM consciousness transfer is unfortunately a real thing. It has ramped up this past year. Your dreams are no longer yours. Sometimes i go to work all night. My regular day to day job but just in a dream. The other night i had an intense dream that probably wasnt actually a dream but rather a data dump to my brain. There was a being who was downloading information and allowing me to ask questions. It answered, but i cant remember what was delivered. Guessing it will be recalled at a later date. The second half of this experience was dropping below the current dimension and into the 2D world below. Everything was black and white and not moving but moving like a sheet of paper with a picture drawn on it getting closer. Upon looking up, i could see the 3d event stream, like a freeway above me with a variety of colors all blurred together. It was like a film strip moving like a freeway overhead. This is the projection of the 2d world and where our reality currently resides.
