Is there a basic rundown of remote viewing without all the excess bloat that comes with full RV courses? This is said to be an innate ability that just has to be developed so I'm coming at it from the perspective that I shouldn't have to spend hours reading methodology and theory to begin practicing or pay for formal courses either.

Try the starting guide on remoteviewed, or the starting guide on the remoteviewing sunreddit. It's barebones and can get you started.
