Image completely unrelated, just thought it looked cool, I guess.
This is a relatively simple problem, kinda stupid, but it's still weird enough that I'm asking for any 'possible thoughts'. I'll be direct about it:
>People see me, recognize me, and call me by name. They know accurate details about me that would require actually being acquainted with me.
>No one is making threats, it's just a "Oh, hey, Anon! Dude, how have you been?"
>I have no idea who they are, and I've even booted up old cell phones to check contacts and even went through old facebook stuff.
>Also I checked with people I actually DO know and associated with- and none of these people know the individuals that say they know me
>This has happened in several places I've lived, and returned to visit over the last 10 years- it's spread out over a few states, much too far away to be 'a coordinated prank'.
>By my count, it's been about 23 different people- though sometimes it's more than one person that remembers me.
>This occurs in places I was pretty regular- so it checks out that they WOULD have met me.
>I went to see a psychiatrist, and an actual doctor- even got a CT scan. I have no TBI, and no other signs of damage. I also do not have any other 'gaps' in memory like this- I actually have a pretty reliable memory.
>I cannot for the life of me figure out how the fuck I am supposed to know these people.
I'll entertain any theory- but there's just too many individuals with too much knowledge that aren't connected... and it's been happening for over a decade... so 'a prank' is a bit of a stretch, considering people who don't know each other would have to coordinate this.
I actually got really depressed and emotional over this at one point because I thought my mind was slipping... but that's not the case.
I was in the military but I didn't do anything crazy or wild, and I don't think I got ARTICHOKE'd. I don't drink unless it's a 'food beer', I do smoke some pot, but once a month, tops.

Realistically there is no solution. Your problem seems to be surface level only so I suggest you become more discreet. Find a way to stop being at the wrong places at wrong times

Do you have any big spiritual intentions? I'm going through the exact same thing but I know exactly why it's happening to me. Not even kidding you, you might be important and these niggas might be time travellers, or you're involved in the same fucked up psychological experiment I am. You're not alone OP, but I'm interested to know where your life is heading.

At some point you shifted to a different reality, not different enough for you to notice rightaway, but your past is slightly different here. I know it sounds crazy, but it happens to many of us.
I only had two or three or these people who know me and I have no idea who they are though, instead I mostly have people who I always remembered perfectly but now they are different and sometimes the relationship between us was different too. For example there was this kid Guillaume who always hated me since preschool to the end of primary school then I never saw him again, but now the past has changed, it seems that we were friends, he is on the tapes of my birthdays parties, there are pictures of him playing with me, and stuff... and my parents say we were friends, but I perfectly remember he always hated me. My childhood best friend Nicolas and Sandra are nowhere on any picture or tapes though, as if they had not existed, although I perfectly remember them being at each of my birthday parties.

This shit actually happened to me once, and I had two additional encounters with the same stranger over the years. I played along the first couple times, but that was my limit, and on the last encounter I did an amnesia act of pretending we'd never met. That's when it stopped.

I've dealt with all sorts of supernatural shit, usually things meant to mock or test me. My theory is this was another attempt by the world to mess with me for kicks. It was so obvious, too, considering I'm a complete loner and literally don't know anyone.

What's even weirder is I was thinking of telling this story just before you posted the OP.

I live a pretty normal life, nothing crazy going on otherwise. I mean, I'd even say my life is rather chill. I wouldn't say it's going anywhere bad or big, and I always figured this was a good thing.
>>41989421
So in the hypothetical situation where this happened- what about the 'me' that's supposed to be here? Did we switch, or did I 'become the other me'? I'm not ridiculing the idea, just not sure how it works. I mean, I'd like to shift back, if possible.
>>41989517
You think maybe I should just flat out say to these people "I don't know you and we have never met"...? I mean, I could give it a try, but I've been flat-out confused when talking to these people and even told them I don't remember.

You sound like a chill dude, maybe it's like another anon said, you died in another timeline and these people in this timeline really do know you but you have no recollection. It's so strange though isn't it? It's always freaked me out when it happened, I just assumed this was some horrible psychological experiment.

Relate strongly OP. Clearly you're 'of interest' to these people too. It's odd when a stranger can approach you and know your name, and so much more. And act completely unsurprised also. And then just fuck off back to wherever they're from. Wild times.

You've been chosen for something like an experiment, it sounds like. And you're not alone.

Don't let it unsettle you, it's beyond your current control, but you have agency to ignore or confront and question people. Suggest a cool hand there, but observe and learn about them in kind.

Just do what I do when approached in public (that one time notwithstanding), and walk away. Don't respond at all.

There's a clear paranormal nature to these encounters. Unless whatever power behind them is really deadset on fucking with you, not entertaining these illusions should make them stop. If not, then at least they won't go further then "OH HAY ANON LONG TIME NO SE...."

I don't suppose they're gonna chase after you or something.

Post jaw. You might be attractive and this is being used to strike up a conversation by other men that want to swallow your gay op balls.
>>
>>41989315
You are likely a targeted individual. Sucks. I am too.

This is just one phase, it could get (much) worse. Basically, you've probably had a bit too much to think and the system has deployed its defenses against you in the form of outsourced group harassment. Any questions welcome.
>>
>>41989315
I recognise you OP

>>41989657
None of these people are malicious. In fact, a few years ago- two of them invited me to play D&D with them. I'd say that no one has done this with any degree of hostility, or anything but "being nice people".
>>41989727
Oh, I don't need to do that- I'm not a handsome guy. I can go for a long walk around town, and sit outside a store and smoke a cigarette and people hand money over to me because they think I might be homeless.
So you seem to be implying that these individuals might be... hobosexual.
Yes, I know it's a 'dad joke' and I'll live with it.
>>41989657
You say I've been chosen for some kind of experiment, so- okay... no one has harmed me yet, so... what do you think this might be for?
>>41989775
Why would anyone target me, though? I'm not really special, I don't do anything weird or crazy, and I don't have a real social media presence. I keep my opinions to myself mostly, and on any issue that I don't fully understand- I admit I don't know enough to have an opinion.
>>41989814
I told you I just needed the money, we aren't in a relationship, and I don't want to play the 'gummy worm game' with you any more.
