Hello everyone.I'm posting this thread to provide a space where my questions regarding authentic tantra.I have a few books on practices on the way, and my goal is to basically advance through this path and see how far I can take it.Are there any people here who practice this stuff? If so, do you have any recommendations for me (in terms of books, or resources)?

>>41993728There are requirements.The guru in question has to have a proper guru parampara(lineage) dating back to at least 3 previous gurus before him.All the gurus must have done the same practice and gained siddhi(perfection) in their practice.Never EVER try doing this stuff on your own.If you don't have a guru or wish to find one, you can do simple naam japa (name chanting) with a mala.If you are meant for the practice then nature will ensure that you have a guru.If you are not meant for it, it may take up to hundreds of lifetimes before nature allows you to progress.

Please heed my advice, I beg of you.I don't want you getting hurt anon.>Is it considered tantra if I utilize Devanagari in my spiritual practice, what should I avoid to not harm myselfPure sanskrit, anything else is shabara.Don't think for a moment that shabara doesn't work though.Shabara works with all the languages present in nature(including English).The only downside of shabara is that if you gain siddhis through it, it is more likely to go away as soon as you earned it(unless you maintain it) whereas proper practice can make siddhis stay for longer.If you misuse your power (assuming you went with shabara) then it will backfire on you in a very nasty way.Please find a proper guru who has attained siddhi of the practice you wish to go forth with.

>>41993954You can do simple naam Japan which doesn't require initiation.There are, widely speaking, 4 types of initiations.1. The guru will look into your eyes.2. The guru will touch your body in specific places.3. The guru will tell you the mantra to chant in your ears in a way others nearby cannot hear it.4. The guru will make you sit in asana and do the same in front of you where you will find that he will put his feet in your lap.The 4th one is the ucchistha deeksha (best initiation) that is possible.Enough of me telling you about these tiny crumbs of info I happen to have within.Now, you gotta tell me a few things.Which deity do you resonate with the most?Who is your kula devata/devi?If you don't know who your kula devata/devi is yet, then you must first find out before going into any practices.You will need a purohit or practicing tantrik to help you find this info.Remember this anon: You making an effort now ensures that you will succeed in getting siddhi of your kula devata/devi sooner rather than later.Don't go chasing siddhis other than the siddhi of being one with your kula devata/devi, trust me on this.Note: In this context "sooner" can mean anything from a few years to a few lifetimes depending on your practice, your karma and your poorva janam samskaras(past life sacred rites).
