Come discuss the worship and conjuration of Ishtar, Inanna, Aphrodite, other historically related deities/spirits, and their entourages. "Appearing in more literary compositions than any other deity, Inanna embodied endless complexities and contradictions: an unbridled goddess at once upholding and destroying the status quo; a passionate goddess engaging in romantic and destructive erotic love; a heavenly goddess who trod the underworld; a feminine goddess who was sometimes portrayed as a bearded warrior; and a mercurial goddess bestowing tender mercies even as she moved freely from one conquest to another.""[Astarte] is often paired with Baal and also — in a warlike form called Astoreth — with Set. The Mesopotamian goddesses Ishtar and Inanna are other forms of this goddess. The mysteries of Inanna and Dumuzi, Ishtar and Tammuz, and of Astarte and Adonis, were an influence upon the Egyptian mysteries of Isis and Osiris, in which a Queen Astarte appears. Given the combined influence of the cult of Isis, and the Syrian Goddess, on the later Christian cult of Mary, Astarte is among the most influential and important of all Classical deities."If you're interested in working with the Queen of Heaven, the best things you can do are to start meditating, making offerings, and maybe banishing. Preferably do all three daily, or at least a few times a week. This will get her attention and improve your ability to communicate with her, as well as generally train your occult abilities.Pastebin: pastebin.com/SQmZvivkOther recommended resources:Enheduanna and the old Mythsmostlydeadlanguages.tumblr.comRod and RingLioness: The Song of InannaLiber Astarte, on worship: sacred-texts.com/oto/lib175.htm/sum/moning Information Page, for Goetia to work with Astaroth: pastebin.com/ZHPM0KVzThe True Grimoire by JSKLucidariumRudd's GoetiaPandemonium by JSKCrossed KeysChasing the DragonConsorting With Spirits by MillerMisc Resources: pastebin.com/9cVvQp8a

>>42036589"How do I get in touch with the Queen of Heaven?"This is a question often asked here. One way to get into contact with one form or another of Our Lady is with simple prayer. This is of course very good regardless of your ability to sense spirits, especially when accompanied by an offering. When you make an offering, make it as nice and clean as you can. Don't offer bodily fluids. Food, incense, and alcohol are all good. That said, most of us will need to work at our spirit sense abilities before we can get a response. For this, you can do shamatha meditation (I'll post a guide if someone has trouble finding one, but a simple Google should bring up many results). There's also two meditations called Looking Past the Veil and Pillar and Spheres from the book "Consorting With Spirits" by Jason Miller. This book is highly worth buying or pirating in general, especially because the main operation within is a conjuration of the chthonic from of Our Lady, Astaroth. You could also learn tummo or practice any other form of mysticism that is meant to yield siddhi/magical abilities. I can repost the old /omg/ OP if anons are interested in the old library or the crash courses to different traditions within. And then you could work Rod and Ring or Liber Astarte or any of the various grimoires that can summon Astaroth or the Scrying Bowl of Aphrodite once you've done this every day for awhile and feel your power building. And if you don't want to work any of those, I hope you like dream work. Get good at lucid dreaming, get a strong practice of devotion going, and you could meet Our Lady in your dreams. Maybe she'll even teach you practices that you could contribute to the thread or just for your own benefit.
>>42036604"LOOK PAST THE VEILNot all spirit skills require discipline and training. Some are little tricks of perception that you can do anywhere at any time-even right now as you read this book. Try the following:Step 1: Look straight ahead. It doesn't matter what is in front of you-anything from a sprawling vista to a wall will do. Just look.Step 2: Now imagine that everything in front of you is actually on a video screen. Pretend it's a two-dimensional representation of what you see. It looks the same, just as it would if you were looking at a high-definition screen that took up your whole view, but you know that it is just a screen.Step 3: Consider what is on the other side of that screen. Listen closely. Reach out with your feelings. Can you sense it? Is there something on the other side? What this simple exercise does is collapse our normal sensation of three dimensions of space down to two dimensions, which leaves a mental "slot" open for us to perceive something we normally don't.Warning: As simple as this exercise is, it has caused momentary nausea or dizziness in some students who try it. Others have been panicked by the sense of feeling beyond ordinary space, and the sensation that something might be looking back. As always, you have to monitor what you can and can't handle."
>>42036604>>42036610"PILLAR AND SPHERES...For this ritual to really work, you have to know the qualities of the elements and let them release in the body. Aristotle described the four elements main according to a system of being wet or dry and hot or cold. Earth is dry and cool. Fire is hot and dry. Air is warm and wet. Water is cool and wet. There is a certain symmetry here where Fire and Water are opposites, as are Air and Earth. In addition to these qualities I would add qualities that speak to how these behave in their gross physical manifestations: Earth is stable, Fire consumes and expands, Water flows and fills, Air blows and moves rapidly. When we do the Pillar and Spheres, we place Earth at the root not only because it is firm and solid, but because it gives the material that fire can consume. As we build the fire just below the navel, we consume the material below it and start heating everything above it. Water gets placed at the heart, which is brought to a boil by the fire below it. Steam rises from the water (remember Air is warm and wet according to Aristotle), which then melts the seed of Spirit/Space at the crown of the head. The wisdom of Spirit/Space then descends over the body, blessing each of the elements and making them even more potent and subtle. This is internal Alchemy: the rise of vitality and passion and the descent of ennobling wisdom. The whole picture is rather like a Witch's cauldron inside the body. Earth is the ground and wood that the fire is built upon. The cauldron is set upon that fire and heats the water within it, releasing the cloud of steam and scent that rises to heaven. What happens is that the entire body is sublimated and made more subtle, more spirit like."You could also perform the inner fire practice from Stoking the Witchfire by Vijnana Nath, which is too long to post here

Are there any particular rituals I can do on a regular basis? I was thinking of making some of my own to build my personal relationship with her, something goes beyond my usual nightly prayers and the more formal daytime prayers I have started practicing. Our goddess definitely does a lot for me and I want to find ways to do more for her. Does anybody have any suggestions?
A thread about the divine feminine, finally something I can appreciate.
>>42046608What do you mean by it?
>>42046606Shamatha meditation, offerings, and prayer can take you a long way.The Saucer Divination of Aphrodite (pic related) could be done daily as good practice for scrying and communication with the deity — this is traditional Hellenistic practice. You could check out Rod and Ring if you want to practice in a reconstructionist Mesopotamian paradigm. You could prepare to run one of the traditional grimoires to evoke Our Lady in her chthonic form as Astaroth. I recommend the Verum.Goetic Liturgy can be ran as a daily practice with the invocation of Isis — or you could write your own invocation to Aphrodite or Ishtar based on Crowley's rubric if Isis isn't the form of Our Lady you want to work with. Obviously you'd drop the spirit evocation section for a daily practice. And finally if you don't care about being particularly traditional at all, the Simon Necronomicon is supposed to be good quality chaos magic. You could try working with Ishtar this way too.
This book explains why certain personality types are drawn to "love and war" feminine figures through anime, and, importantly, why they become trannies, pedophiles and other types of deviants through it
>>42048436Not what the book says but ok. I honestly question if you have the qualifications to understand it in the first place
>>42048451>Spunky girl superheroes are surely preferable to damsels in distress. But as the creeping qualifiers in Napier’s prose (“albeit highly sexualized,” “anticipate,” “genuine, although small”) suggest, the beautiful fighting girl is not an unambiguous icon of feminist empowerment. Napier’s slight discomfort turns to outright hostility in other critics, for whom the beautiful fighting girl’s hypersexualized and borderline pedophilic image is a symptom of precisely the opposite: the continuing objectification and infantilization of women in Japanese society.[3] This polarization of attitudes toward her is perhaps the beautiful fighting girl’s most definitive characteristic.
>>42048488That still does not say what you said in >>42048436 . It also has nothing to do with the subject of the thread. This is not a thread about Fate GO. The images are just here to drum up interest.
>>42048410Thank you very much, my friend. I first discovered her through the Necronomicon.
>>42048410I have to say though, it is my understanding that the Necronomicon is not to be toyed with and a practitioner should complete the whole grimoire from start to finish and not just selectively choose to walk one gate of a chosen deity.Perhaps I could take influences from it as well as other things such as what you provided and make my own chaos magic form?
>>42050167What's wrong with going through the Necronomicon just up until you work with Ishtar? That's what I would do unless the book says there's a good reason not to
>>42050615The book is pretty clear about not doing that and cites it is a dangerous practice to not complete the entirety of the grimoire. The Necronomicon is pretty strict all throughout.
>>42050622In that case I cannot say. I definitely wouldn't rip bits out to create my own system without understand what they do. The Devil's Advocate on TikTok is fairly serious about this kind of stuff and has implied that you can use the Names of Marduk without working the whole grimoire, if that helps.
>>42050639Agreed, I have worked with the Names of Marduk for many years. I have been seeing many others refer to the Simon Necronomicon as chaos magic too and chaos magic is my sort of thing. It would make me think one could sort of do their own thing, but I still take the Necronomicon too seriously to cherry pick from it even if it is a Chaos Magick grimoire. I was thinking maybe at the very least though I could meditate upon the seals of Ishtar contained within the book but not necessarily walk the gates.
>>42050639>>42050786As somebody who likes to practice Chaos Magick, perhaps I should create some sigils and rituals on my own in order honor the Queen of Heaven?
>>42038548anyone know sumerian grammar??
>>42049982I clearly related it to the love and war feminine archetype, hopefully my posts saved at least one person from becoming a pedophile tranny groomer
>>42050928may ishtar break your spear
>>42050786Since you've worked them, why do you think it's okay to work with the Names of Marduk and not the rest of the grimoire out of order? Come to think of it, the warnings in the book were why I chose not to work with the Names a few years ago, due to other practice commitments
>>42050809Yeah actually, you could use Liber Astarte by Crowley as a rubric for your ceremonies. This should be very effective.

>>42051640????
She goes by Molly or Judy now, by the way. Usually Judy. Divine prostitute stuff is taken out of context, by the way.
>>42051093Largely because it has been generally accepted, including by the author himself after releasing the spellbook, that you can work with the 50 names without being an initiate who has walked the gates. You may find that those who have walked the gates sometimes report feeling some sort of unsettling entity is watching them or out to get them if they do not complete the gate walkings and the grimoire itself does seem to suggest that some unwelcome entities may be taking an interest in you to try and stop you completing your works.I understand this argument could be made about the Book of Marduk, but very many people have used it ever since the author released it as a stand alone spellbook and approved it for use by the non-initiated and in my experience it is safe.
>>42051261I have looked into this and it seems quite helpful so far. Thanks again, my friend!
I will be working on my own rituals and spells that I am open to sharing if anybody is interested. I do not know when any of it would be complete, but I was hoping we could get a little more activity and community here and maybe share some common things we can all do together in honor of our goddess.

>>42080189I suppose that depends on you and what you’re looking for. The Queen of Heaven is my personal goddess and she answers my prayers and takes good care of me. Just realize that having prayers answered doesn’t entail asking for silly material things and having them granted like a genie would do in a fantasy tale. Your relationship with any spiritual being will also be heavily influenced by your own spiritual capabilties. It is your choice what to do from here.
>>42080189No, op is literal faggot
>>42080189Yes. Her abilities as a goddess are well documented. If you wanted something material from her, Astaroth or Aphrodite Pandemos are some of her best forms for getting shit done. If you want to practice theurgy you should pick a form like Aphrodite Ourania.

>>42089327I've been reading a number of translations of pic related recently
Did Our Lady improve your or or your loved ones' lives?
>>42059584Oh god she is so fucking sexy!
>>42084940LMAO except she's not. There is a giant difference between the open worship of Ishtar and the weird crypto-worship the political elite try to trick people into worshipping. Fooling someone into worshipping you is significantly less effective than openly worshipping them (think scream tanks vs laughing tanks from Monsters Inc.). I won't deny that Mary of Nazareth and Mary Magdalene are meant to represent Asherah/Inanna (but really they probably call her by one of her newer names like Tanit at this point), but for the overwhelming majority of Catholics and Muslims venerating Mary of Nazareth (and to a much lesser extent Mary Magdalene) do not secretly view her as a goddess or as the Divine Feminine. The truth is, the Divine Feminine betrayed the Divine Masculine, and is still in exile. Shekhinah still wanders the deserts of Jerusalem with the tribes of Israel, where she actively still encourages the ways of the Old Religion. That's why Yeshua ben Yosef fell out of romantic love with Mary Magdalene; when Yeshua fully embodied his true, divine self — he embodied hope, forgiveness, and a clean break from the old ways. That's why Yeshua was immediately popular with so many, and why his religion was able to surpass so much. When Mary Magdalene fully embraced her true self — it led to her openly embracing the old ways of the "Divine Prostitute"; child sacrifice, wars as blood offerings, "sacred" orgies. Disgusting. The Divine Feminine refused to change, and so the Divine Masculine moved on alone in the pursuit of justice. Your dark queen rules over this era of humanity, whilst Yeshua searches for a pharmakon to cure Shekhinah of her twisted nature. I'm sure whoever is behind this push to worship her on 4chan rolls with the Epstein crowd.
I owe baphomet
>>42095525Cool schizopost anon. Ishtar isn't mentioned once in the Files, but I'm sure that won't stop you now that you've come up with this narrative.Ishtar isn't a nebulous "Divine Feminine," whatever that means. She's the Queen of Heaven, and she loves humanity. That's why she's stayed with us so long. She doesn't even demand our worship, which is why she takes a secondary role to the Trinity in Catholicism. She's the mother of civilization and she just wants to watch over us. I'm sure she feels saddened by your disrespect to your own mother.
>>42095818False. She goes by many names. You can pretend that Tanit isn't still worshipped by the Epstein class, that they don't sacrifice children to her, that they don't wage war for her; I will confront the horror all the same. You can fetishize and worship your dark goddess, but I will move forward into the light of actual liberation. I will not bow to slavers and murderers like her.
>>42096185>no evidence providedI wish you luck with getting on the correct medicine anon.
>>42096278LMAO mfr just gonna ignore the bohemian grove - Cremation of Care ritual, 322 skull and crossbones - lying in coffins to "die to the world", Athena/Minerva worship with the owl, Venus worship with Columbia/Lady Liberty — it's all the same thing, dummy. You don't even know the gods you worship. The USA/UK are successors to Canaan. Lady Liberty is Venus. The "Queen of Heaven" goes by many names, fool. Tanit demands child sacrifice; why do you think we bombed a school in Iran and slaughtered nearly 200 children (all girls mind you)? Are you merely playing dumb, or are you actually this ignorant? It's called Revelation of the Method. It doesn't work, by the way. That's not actually how consent works. I just thought your bosses should know that before they're punished that fooling someone into consent is not actually receiving their consent. It must be directly requested for, no illusions or deceptions, and it must freely be given. Anything less is coercion.
This looks like a pretty cool thread, first time hearing about Her. Does anyone have any success stories? Or prayers or any cool historical tidbits about Her?
>>42096960We don't want your worship anon. You're conflating unrelated things that don't have anything to do with us. And moreover you have no sources linking us with any of this. Fuck man, I don't believe it but if anything it's Baal or Moloch you want to fight against. There's at least a little bit of evidence that can be interpreted that maybe Epstein and co had something to do with them. But we just want to worship the mother of civilization in peace. Most of us hate the Epstein class as much as you do.
>>42097167Sure. She's the Queen of Heaven, one of the oldest goddesses worshiped by humanity. She goes back to ancient Uruk as Inanna. From there she moved West as first Ishtar and then Astarte. The ancient Egyptians would embrace her as Isis. She became known to the Greeks as Aphrodite. In turn, the cult of Isis and Horus influenced Christianity with Mary and Jesus. To the point where Mary became known as the Queen of Heaven in Catholicism.Always has she been known as a compassionate and helpful goddess by her worshipers. From the cradle of civilization up until now, she watches over us. Like a loving mother, she doesn't demand worship but quietly helps preserve human civilization in the background. Meanwhile her miracles are still active to this day, as seen with Our Lady of Guadalupe. She is both ancient and eminent. Truly a wonderful goddess who will always be relevant as long as civilization exists!

Inanna/Ishtar “Queen of Heaven” reclamation: Multiple analyst threads (Facebook esoteric groups, TikTok decodings, Christian occult-watch channels) explicitly identify Taylor as a modern vessel or “reincarnation” of Inanna/Ishtar. The biblical “Queen of Heaven” condemnation (Jeremiah 44) is cited verbatim alongside her stage persona—exactly the same title the Church layered onto Mary. One researcher states outright: “Taylor Swift is a human incarnation of the Sumerian… goddess Inanna.” Another ties her directly to “Ishtar / Inanna” in viral clips. The 12/13 numerology (her lifelong “lucky 13,” the sacred 12 of Ishtar’s eight-pointed star) is flagged as deliberate.Snake / serpent sigil (Inanna’s descent and rebirth): The clearest documented echo. During the 2017 “Reputation” rollout, after the #TaylorIsASnake campaign, Swift deliberately reclaimed the serpent in Instagram teasers and the album aesthetic. Esoteric analysts (CNN arts coverage cross-referenced with occult decoders) link this directly to ancient Mesopotamian fertility goddesses: Inanna/Ishtar’s serpent associations (immortality through shedding, fertility, underworld descent). The article notes: “snakes… most often linked to women… Mesopotamian statue of an attendant to the love goddess Ishtar.” This is textbook Revelation of the Method: the elites flash the old goddess sigil through their controlled pop-star, inverting the Marian “pure Virgin” into the empowered serpent-queen.
>>42116810Let’s strip it down to plain English—no fancy jargon, just the straight truth from the scrolls. The name code (gematria) for Taylor Alison Swift:Her full birth name adds up to the number 1966 in the ancient number-letter system that the elites and old mystics have used for centuries. That same number 1966 also equals the famous phrase:“As above, so below.”That’s the core rule of the hidden world: whatever happens up in the spiritual realm mirrors down here on our flat plane (the cosmic egg). Her name is literally stamped with the blueprint of the whole game. What her name pieces actually mean (simple roots):Taylor = “the one who cuts and reshapes cloth.”Think: the person who cuts through the old curtain (the fake religion and media veil) and sews a new one.Alison = “noble kind” or “high-born daughter.”Like the royal exiled queen who fell from the high place but still carries noble light.Swift = “fast-moving” or “quick like lightning.”The fast descent and fast return — the speed of the goddess who drops into our world and rises back out.Put together:The noble cutter who moves fast to reshape the veil according to “as above, so below.”That’s her name in plain sight. The elites had to put the code right there because the rules (Saturn’s ledger) say they must disclose before they harvest. The children who listen to her songs are getting the message in their bodies, even if their minds don’t know the numbers yet.

>>42121028I appreciate your work but I must respectfully ask you something. Is it not offensive to say whore of babylon when referring to our goddess? I have some reservations about this and I think it deserves wider discussion by the participants in this thread. No offense or disrespect intended, I am seeking a good faith discussion.
>>42124587It's not my work. It's by the same guy who did Rod and Ring. As for your concern, I'm definitely open to it. I could go either way. On one hand I think it gives Her a lot of aura. On the other, it might not be the most respectful thing to say. I for one will probably see the way the thread discussion goes and see if I get any signs from the goddess, before I make my mind up.
>>42124680I think I agree with your perspective, but on a personal level I will not refer to her by such a title. I always make it a point to address her like nobility/royalty.
>>42124587Προύνικος
Last time I knew her personally she went by Tiamat, and I was Absu. I hope she's doing well, glad some people still openly worship her at least. She's very sweet and loving, but I had to do what I did for her sake. She's still looking for me, but she has too many responsibilities for a relationship sadly, so I chose to be dead for a long while so she could focus.
>>42036604>Don't offer bodily fluids I may have done this a while back. How do I make amends for this blunder?
>>42127832That’s just the opinion and policy of the one who posted that. While I do not personally advocate for such offerings, I don’t think you need to worry about it too much, just work on having s good relationship with the goddess in general,
>>42126132Ishtar and Tiamat are two entirely different things. Simple as.
I have the explicit goal of getting one or more women pregnant in the short term, even if they attempt to take pills or something. Do you think She could help as a deity of fertility? And if it happens, is there a rite to do with the eventual baby in order to honor her help?
>>42128852>.idiot
>>42127832I think you should make an offering of confession. Just simply make an offering of food or incense or something and then confess your errors, imagining that the Goddess hears you. I can't imagine she'll hold it against you since you didn't know any better.>>42128840Tbf, bodily fluids were usually seen by the ancients as taboo in worship. Certainly the Sumerians would not have been okay with it. In Hellenic traditions it is outright miasmic — poison to your worship and an insult to the gods.>>42129273>even if they attempt to take pills or somethinghttps://www.worldhistory.org/article/2127/inanna-and-su-kale-tuda/
>>42129609Thank you for the information.
>>42128840>>42129609Thanks will do. It was out of ignorance and made a kind of sense but in hindsight even if sex is her domain I can see why that would be no go
>>42129609>609I'm not talking about rape, I sort of have a FWB currently (probably not for the long term). I'm asking about busting fertility and blessings to have children even in the current cultural landscape of using contraceptives.Unless you mean that the consent of a girlfriend to use hormone pills or abort, already given the consent to sex itself, is more important to the literal goddesses of fertility.I don't see it coherent to want to rebuild a cult of fertility and not wanting to do our part in balancing the falling birth rate.
>>42132025That's still rapey af, anon. Get your girlfriend's enthusiastic consent to have children, and then you'll still want to go ask another god for help conceiving. Ishtar doesn't really have that much to do with children, child-rearing, or human fertility in general. She's about sexual love and romance.
On this night I came to this thread to pay my respects to Queen Ishtar, of Love and War.
>>42036589What do you guys think of the claim that the Hekate found in the Chaldean Oracles is actually an interpretatio graeca of Astarte?Basically the claim I have seen is that the Chaldean Oracles were to Mesopotamian theology what the Hermetic Corpus was to Egyptian theology. A philosophical, hellenising, take on the native religion of the fertile crescent. If true it would be giving a lot of, sadly fragmentary, insight on Her.
>>42133450That's really interesting. If true, that would give Jake Stratton-Kent's theory on the links between the Ishtar current and Hekate some real evidence other than the similarities between the two goddesses he pointed out. Do you have any reading material on this?
>>42134312There's this German article I came across, I can't read it.Its by Christoph Elsas, the article is titled:>Kulturspezifischer Dualismus bei der Übersetzung griechischer Philosophie in die Chaldäischen Orakel hineinI can only read the English abstract, but it says the following>In grateful memory of Carsten Colpe’s research, the article examines the Chaldean Oracles for tradition and translation. They became important as “pagan bible” or “wisdom of Zoroaster” and as cosmic mystic potential of criticism in Christianity and Islam. I can show mutual influencing between the Chaldean Oracles and the Platonic religious philosophy of Numenios of Apameia about 180 AD in the face of possibilities of understanding dualism the Iranian and the Greek way, as well as, on the side of Numenios, orientalism, and on the side of the Theurg Julian, affinity to Homer and Plato. Even the fragments handed down as the Chaldean Oracles are no parts of original documents – but adaptations. >In Mesopotamia, there was divination associated with Ištar. This goddess connecting heaven and earth was identified by Zoroastrian priests with the goddess of water, Anâhitâ, and in the Roman Empire with Hecate as the goddess of magic and principle of breathing life. This article from 2020 is very explicitly making the claim I was talking about earlier. It wouldn't surprise me if JSK was actually into something here. I only came across him recently but he seemed to have an intuitive understanding of what was going on in antiquity's eastern Mediterranean

Well, everybody. I wanted to share what I tend to on Fridays and often carry over into Saturdays. I think we established earlier in this thread that Friday is Ishtar’s day, so on Friday’s I like to set aside time to honor her at the altar. I make sure I am clean before approaching the altar. Of course hygiene should not be an issue anyway, but I like to make sure I have freshly bathed and brushed my teeth before starting at which time I recite two purification prayers after bowing to the altar. After I have recited these formal prayers, I use a designated ritual bottle opener to open up and pour a libation into a chalice as an offering to Ishtar. After pouring it and declaring it is an offering to the goddess, I proceed with a more personal prayer in which I give thanks and show my respect for Ishtar, This can be followed with more personal things such as asking for blessings, but on Fridays I try to make this more about honoring her than asking for anything. When prayer is done I like to meditate for a few moments after which I thank Ishtar again and bow to the altar before I depart.I know it isn’t much and is very informal, but I’ve been working over time to build my own personal relationship with Ishtar as well as forming our own personal rituals. I’d like to add more over time as I learn more and I welcome anything more formal and based in proper historic traditions. For some time I have wondered what one is supposed to do with offerings after the fact when it is time to dispose of them. I have not been offering food, only drink. I typically let offered drink stay at the altar for several hours or overnight and have been wondering, is it appropriate to drink it when the goddess is done with it and consider this an act of communion? Or should it be poured out into the ground? Do we know what Ishtar’s ancient temple practices were regarding this matter?
>>42137554I want to worship the divine feminine but I also wish to goon to her. i want to celebrate and reclaim reproductive acts that are unfortunately becoming more and more taboo in public's eyes lately. it is an affront to the goddess. are there any incarnations of the divine feminine that are okay with sexual worship?
>>42148261>reclaim reproductive acts that are unfortunately becoming more and more taboolike which ones?
>>42148289literally anything sexual payment mafia are on a puritanical crusade
>>42142553That all sounds really good anon. I'm sure you're building a lot of kharis with Our Lady. As for Sumerian temple practices, I'm no expert, but I think there's very little practicable material that remains. This is why I often advocate for Hellenistic procedures. @LunaCallisto on TikTok is a classisist and revivalist who can tell you how/direct you to resources on how to do traditional Hellenic worship. There are also a couple good websites out there like https://hellenicfaith.com/prayer-format/ .>>42148261You could look into working the Lucus Tenebrarum maybe. It uses the conjuration methods of the Grimorium Verum, so you'll want a copy of that too for its spirit catalogue. Sex magic is supposed to be a big thing in folkloric witchcraft. I wouldn't bring Astaroth into anything until you've summoned her at least once and asked the proper way/if it's even okay in the first place. The main thing is, the ancients wouldn't have been okay with this style of worship. The grimoires worked as written are not okay with this style of conjuration — you're supposed to even abstain from sex or masturbation for several days before summoning any spirits. So you're reliant on folkloric witchcraft that may or may not actually be real workable material.
>>42142553Also I wouldn't consume anything you offered to the gods. Throw it or dump it out.
>>42149378It is my understanding that you and many others adhere to Hellenistic practices and I respect that. I am sort of constructing my own personal practice with Lady Ishtar and I tend to lean toward what ancient Mesopotamian practices I can find. In my research, I have found that in the ancient temples offerings were commonly used to feed the temple staff or the needy after rituals and observances were completed. In some cases offerings were handled similarly to a Hellenistic fashion, but typically they were consumed when the deity was done with it. I used to dump out libations to the ground before I was sure what to do with them but I began consuming the libations after one particular night.
>>42149610I had purchased a libation for Ishtar and I intended to offer it to her at the altar later in the evening. I was spending time near the altar hours before I had started any religious observance and I felt a sudden and strong instinct to immediately get the libation and offer it in the chalice. I take it as a direct instruction from the goddess herself. During this experience, I strongly felt she wanted me to do this so she could have many hours enjoying it and be finished with it by the time I completed my religious practice was completed with the intention of me to also partake of it. Later that night when I had concluded my ritual and prayers, I spent time thanking her for everything as usual and spent some time meditating. I had that inkling she wanted me to consume the libation but I was very apprehensive about it as I feared it could be disrespectful. I spent a lot of time thinking about it and eventually felt she approved and might be displeased if I didn’t act on whatever she made me sense earlier so I respectfully but apologetically drank it. After consuming it, my anxieties about the matter vanished just as Ishtar always dispels my various stresses. I felt I had her approval and blessing and it is a practice I have been engaging in ever since. It is only now that I feel completely comfortable with it because of the feelings she gave me from direct experience combined with my new research that the ancient Mesopotamians did consume offerings when their deities were finished with them.

>>42148261>>42149360I forgot to mention, this is important background information on folkloric witchcraft. Obviously if you believe there were really witches in the middle ages/early modern era this book should be read critically since this would be the perspective of Christians slandering the witches' beliefs and practices. But it could still be a decent basis for experimentation and food for thought. Combined with Lucus Tenebrarum and other black books, it could be a pretty effective paradigm.https://archive.org/details/satanismwitchcra0000mich_l4s3But maybe that's too chthonic and dark for you. I feel like maybe the paradigm you're really searching for is eastern tantra. It's mostly outside of the scope of the thread which is why I didn't mention it immediately. All I'll say is to follow the Buddhism and Vajrayana entry in the old /omg/ OP here: >>42036637 . That and the book "Karmamudra" by Dr. Nida Chenagtsang should get you pretty far into the sexual yogas.
>>42149610>>42149615Sounds like your practice is going pretty well. The only thing I'll say is that if you wanted to be sure when the goddess was talking to you, you could take up a form of divination. Get good with it and invoke the power of the goddess when you use it, and you might be able to directly question her and communicate with her.
>>42150032Do you have any suggested methods for doing so? I assume they will be Hellenic in nature? I’ll see if I can find some i formation on ancient Mesopotamian practices as well. Thank you!
