if matter can't travel faster than light, what if UFO's are made of antimatter? they wouldn't have to stick to the laws of this universe, maybe could even travel millions of times faster than light if not instantaneously.
>>42040005>if matter can't travel faster than light...Is that really the case?
This is physics, not spooky stuff, but....Matter and antimatter are similar stuff with charges and signs reversed. Think of matter as a positive number and antimatter as its negative twin. If matter cannot do something, then neither can antimatter. There are theoretical ways for space ships to go faster than light. The VERY SIMPLIFIED idea is to warp spacetime so that the ship is sitting in its own bubble of spacetime that can be moving faster than the speed of light. The problems are you would need almost infinite energy, be about to create antigravity and a 99 more.Current physics is a patchwork quilt of theories. Each theory does a great job of describing one part of what we observe, but fails elsewhere. Really smart people have been working for over a century to try and unify everything with little progress. Come back in 100 years and maybe you will get a better answer.
>>42040005>matter can't travel faster than lightThat is what official science says, for now.But I'm sure that our descendants will mock us for believing this kind of things.
>>42040005Antimatter can't travel faster than light either retard
>>42040005what if their light is travelling in the opposite direction of our light, so it only gives the impression that its faster than light?Similar to how a car driving in the opposite direction as you seems faster than one travelling in the same direction, even if they're both going the same speed. So maybe they have fancy mirrors on their ship and its an elaborate illusion or hologram.
>>42040005They basically "cheat". They're most likely not actually traveling faster than light, but the effective speed is superluminal. Probably the most common means is something akin to an Alcubierre drive, albeit with a construction that we would be incapable of if we were to immediately understand the principles and get started on building one (it would be like comparing the Wright Brother's flyer to the SR-71 Blackbird)
>>42040134yes? retard.
I don't think they travel like we understand traveling. Let's assume our knowledge of physics is accurate. As far as we know you couldn't realistically travel fast enough in space to reach anywhere basically. Therefore, we couldn't have come across anything and UFOs are bullshit. However, that is not the case. Many people have the assumption that the only way to travel is physically speeding from point A to point B. Wouldn't it make sense that they have different methods of getting around space that isn't just speeding with brute force to a destination.
>>42040134Everything is relative so from a certain perspective yes, from another not so much
>>42040363we're still not sure if physical laws are global or local
>>4204000512 year olds are not allowed on this site.
Im not sure, last time i saw one go to space it was like a reverse shooting star thats not light speed
>>42040005>what if UFOs are made of antimatter? Then they have to travel at the speed of antilight which is the same as light but in reverse gear
>>42040005Antimatter still has mass, ding-dong.
>>42041633>Alcubierre driveCame here to say this. >also nice dubs
>>42040005You couldn't learn what antimatter is before making this dumbshit thread? That much antimatter entering our atmosphere would kill everything on earth.
>>42040005They create antimatter by slamming an ice sun into a normal lava sun and they fuel their saucers with that.
>>42040005>if matter can't travel faster than lightThat's not exactly true. When it happens, time bends to keep the speed relatively slower, but FTL travel isn't actually impossible. This is why the clocks drift apart. It serves to keep the speed slower than light from an observers perspective, yet FTL for the traveler.Even at 50% the speed of light, a light shines within the vehicle moves at 100% the speed of light. How else would that be possible? Wouldn't that mean the light on the hypothetical ship would be moving @ 150% the speed of light assuming it was shined in the direction of travel?

>>42040005It's a lot weirder then that. UFOs have a meta-material skin consisting of layered magnesium and beryllium that act as topological conductors/insulators. The power source is a small aneutronic fusion reactor that sends a voltage through the crafts skin, because space-time is a sea of energy at rest the meta-material skin via a phenomenon akin to the Casimir effect begins receiving this underlying energy like an antenna. The energy is directed into a device similar to a tesla coil that steps up this cosmic background energy, sending it back into the system in an infinite loop creating 100s of megavolts in terahertz waves that are propagated out of the meta-material via nanotubule wave guides. The electromagnetic fields propagating from the craft creates a "warp bubble," pushing aside vacuum permeability, creating a zone free of gravity, mass, time and inertia relative to surrounding space-time. Because this cosmic background energy serves as a sub-quantum informational substrate of consciousness, the craft collapses into an exotic vacuum object, phasing out of material reality, into an infinite sub-structure of space-time. The three organic biologic NHI serving as the guidance computer psionically link the nanotubules within their neurons to the craft via the nanotubule wave guides within the metamaterial creating one conscious exotic field propulsion vesicle, via remote viewing the biologics simply think of a place to go and instantaneously collapse the wave probabilities of the worm-hole they entered via EVO and exited via consciousness initiated entanglement. We lack a lot of words to describe the phenomenon, but something like the above is close to how these crafts operate.
>>42040005There are a few working theories on that. Have any spare down anti-quarks in hand?
>>42040005No, it's that antimatter is made of UFOs. You had it backwards.
