I always thought this movie was trendy conspiracy slop and never really was interested enough to give it much attention after it became a “movement” esp. since the late 00s were the beginning of the modern era of conspiratainment and david icke and alex jones were at their peak. I think the nuance that should be understood about the Zeitgeist film is in 2007, there was the change from MSM news on the television to the internet age of information.the internet was still new so sharing information was really limited. and a lot of people thought the MSM monopoly on the war of Iraq was so bad on the pro war narrative, that it basically gave rise to the drudge report website. essentially it was counter narrative culture of "things they didnt want you to know", so at one point in time having this film was really good to share information. Its kind of weird how life has changed. the early internet was heavily a glowie psyop to prevent the wrong kind of information being leaked and talked about to control the nation. i mean it still is, but THEY now just want you glued to your computer and not noticing the world around you. I also believe during the purge on YouTube from the apocalypse of 2017 was a pivotal role in suppressing the 9/11 was an inside job narrative. essentially YouTube said we cant have conspiracy theories on our site because they may not be true and sponsors will not give us money to promote false narratives.but now were at the point of palantir and other psyops to basically put people in a box where they pretend they are free, to get them to follow.
