Where does goodness come from?I see many people here say that god/the creator cannot be good because there is great evil in the world, but if we operate under that notion, where does goodness come from then?

>>42088072>Where does goodness come from?Sentience. Goodness is an evaluation, a judgement we project onto what is observed.
Good and evil are grandiose declarations of "do want"/"do not want". They go beyond the simple attraction/aversion to having a subtext of "should."A person can want something, but not care if it is absent. A person can not want something, and tolerate its presence. Whereas a person should ensure the presence and propagation of "good" and should act to remove "evil."
>>42088072>god/the creator cannot be good because there is great evil in the world, Correct but such a creator does not exist. >but if we operate under that notion, where does goodness come from then?It comes from empathy, common sense and critical thinking about the reality of suffering and happiness, such an understanding is lacked by people who look to God for answers, these same people look to divine retribution to do good proving they are immoral degenerates.
>>42088072It's a struggle. You have relaxation and tension. You have good and you have evil. You have light and you have darkness. Light is artificial. Light is something that was supposedly created or called into existence by God. So the norm is not light. People say that light brings order and that darkness is chaos. It's the oldest kind of stories, that chaos was defeated in order for the cosmos to exist, tiamat had to die. Keep in mind that history is written by the winners and the winners are not necessarily the most moral beings, right? My point is that all the artificial stuff comes from God. The light comes from God. Before God there was no Light. So Darkness is the norm. God was the one who created Light and said that it was good. So we can say this concept comes from God. What He thinks is good is good. For some reason He decided that darkness is not good. People say that God is evil because God can't be trusted. How can you trust a being who limits you and puts you under all sorts of trials? An entity who claims to be an all consuming fire? Do you know what this signals? It's crazy. People have a point when they call God evil. The funny thing is that we have absorbed these concepts and now we can use these concepts to judge God's actions. We can see how He is evil.
"Good" is a word. "Evil" is a word. "Light" is a word. "Dark" is a word. "Positive" is a word. "Negative" is a word. Words are creations of the mind and their meanings are not like for like between languages or even between minds using the same language unless there is an agreement of principles and definitions before discussion. There are many words to use the forces or effects that we perceive. It's your choice what kind of words and meanings you want to apply to YOUR life.Me, I like "productive" vs "destructive", but only sometimes and only when it's applicable.Words aren't the be all and end all. They are often used by the mind as a filter for Reality. Knowing Reality through Truth (is good, productive) can only be done through words by self-fulfilling creation.
>>42088589To follow on, knowing and experiencing Reality as best we can, is best done with an emptier mind not being cluttered with words. It's easier when you understand what words are, where they came from, why we use them, how they can be used and manipulated, how you can intentionally structure words in a sentence to convey the specific meaning you want. Speech, communication, is a skill to be leveled up. Animals communicate without words and they seem to be doing just fine when we don't fuck with their shit.
>>42088072Goodness is literally the default state of everything, that is to be perfectly ordered and to flow from the One. Evil has no substance in and of itself and is just the momentary privation of the right way of things. The reason light or the sun is used as a symbol for it is because it functions in a similar way. It's always shining, even if it's night time, or you put a bag over your head or shut your eyes, or you stand behind something that casts a shadow it's still there, it's simply been obstructed momentarily. Even this reality which is fundamentally flawed by virtue of being causal and material, the most horrific evil that occurs within it every day is a momentary lapse of the Good. This works regardless if you are a pure exoteric christian or a gnostic or whatever. The dualistic stuff, the two pillars, the idea that there are two countermanding substances that are interdependent or contingent on each other are just people deceiving themselves into thinking evil has some sort of substance, which is ironically the reason behind the fall in the first place.
>>42088072Then one was brought to Him who was demon-possessed, blind and mute; and He healed him, so that the blind and mute man both spoke and saw. And all the multitudes were amazed and said, “Could this be the Son of David?”Now when the Pharisees heard it they said, “This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons.”But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand? And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges. But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you. Or how can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house. He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad.“Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come. “Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit. Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
>>42088589Is “time” just word also…
>>42088072Goodness is often a passing visitor, or a form of manipulation in a zero sum reality. Think about the women who post themselves on tiktok picking up trash on the beach, or the politicians who smile and wave, or the destitute men who help others, or the man who sees corruption and is killed because he's untrustworthy. The universe doesn't operate on goodness. If it did, we would not be here. Those who own this planet see utility as the highest form of purpose. Competence outweighs enjoyment, which perfectly describes their "trail by fire" sentiments. You're not going to be rewarded by being a thrall, in the same way a great hammer does not get to become a man.Earth is an experiment, like many others. God uses souls they've acquired through war to "play around" a bit. Many of the souls trapped here were rebels, enemies, political dissidents, some were just unlucky enough to fit into some strange criteria, some subjective law of theirs (like being an artist, poet, etc) The human soul actually has little to no effect on a human; it's just a source of power for most. You might call certain people "soulless" but in actuality their souls have just been broken down and degraded (the whole point of this world) to the point they have no will of their own, they are like thralls; and the people who've sold their souls aren't actually soulless, they've just given the gods a cosmic form of IOU. All this is to say, ending up on this planet is a fate worse than death, one you aren't even allowed to see that way. The universe is not empty, it's quiet.
Earnestly trying to argue morality with a god is a futile pursuit though, I can admit that. You live in a world they created, with rules they painstakingly created, they micromanaged you from birth. You can scarcely say anything to them that isn't on their script. You will look like a fool; because they made this world for them, not you. Play the game by house rules, and you will always come up short.
>>42088072Logic. It is logical to be good. Being good fosters security and strengthens social aspects of a community. Being good is a feedback loop that benefits you and others. It is illogical to be bad. It is a purely emotional thing to do evil.

>>42089487That's right. That's what we have to do. Purify ourselves. Be pure of mind and heart and be in control of our immaterial selves. There is literally no other option as 1) wifi 5g blanket sonar watches us masturbate and 2) awareness of telepathy increasing among the population.
