4 months today. I've been pretty good about maintaining good habits outside of just SR too. The rewards are kind of hollow sometimes, it's not the same as being loved by a nice girl, but they're still rewards and they're still worth it. I will continue. I said I will never give in, and I won't.

To be honest nofap is way easier than I thought it'd be. I was jerking off for two years straight and while there were periods where I half-heartedly stopped for a few weeks, this is the first time I made a conscious decision to abstain and I haven't relapsed once. While I don't have a compulsive disorder I do relate in that my autism probably helped quite a bit. It's the same reason I exercise every day, I don't even care about getting buff but rather it's just something I have to do or else I will feel really really upset for no particular reason, technically it's a compulsive habit but if it's beneficial then why put a stop it? Same with nofap.

On the downside I haven't really felt many of the positive effects people report when performing semen retention, but the signs might just be more subtle than they initially appear and if I would be able to compare my life pre/post nofap the differences would be way more obvious. I know for a fact I've been reading books again and my vivid dreaming has returned so that's already enough of a plus to keep on doing it.

I initially started nofap out of depression but once my dreams started returning it was all the motivation I needed to continue. Instantly falling asleep and dreaming throughout the whole night is so much more pleasurable than sleepily scrolling through videos of trannies flaunting their skirts trying to find one that will actually help me finish.
