Inmortality here and now, a discussion.
Suppose it were possible, what would you give? Would you want it or would you wait for the afterlife and hope for the best?

Provide.

I might already have some lesser form of immortality. I strangled myself for 6 minutes without even fainting when people normally faint around the 10 second mark and die in 1 to 3 minutes. I’ve been trying to find a martial arts gym willing to test my ability but I haven’t had much luck.

Immortality ONLY gonna worth it with complete nanobots engineered within you 24/7, that can shapeshift you in minutes to your desired body, perpetually keeping you at maximum human (or whatever you want) peak.
There is no reason to be an immortal incel
On immortality. There is this scientist who claims his lab reduced age of animals in his lab by 50% precentage.
FDA just approved human trials

Depends on the circumstances of said "immortality".
For example-
Living forever as a senile old cretin in a care facility, tended by indifferent morons sounds an awful lot like hell to me.

there's a very low chance that you're immortal as long as you've ever fallen into existence thanks to the greed and stupidity of your parents. But it's there.

imagine, in the far future, an extremely powerful civilization learns how to construct brains and bring them consciousness. They'll do many experiments trying to reconstruct brains or try to create new ones. Now, the elites and the people in power would be their most easy victims as they'll love to bring them alive and often their bodies or brains are preserved so they could copy it. Or they could just decide to create a new brain but they unknowingly construct the cells and neurons in such a way that they bring you back to existence. For you, it'll be so confusing because all the time you were dead you felt the same thoughts and emotions as a table. But suddenly you're brought back to life and now you're at their complete mercy. They can do whatever they want with you.

But for them, you're like worse than a labrat. And all they care about is progressing so you could be subject to eternal torture.

Yepp, here it is, the fear of inmortality.
I have noticed few people can really muster up the courage. Many want sureties. Will I be young? Will I fall sick? Will I have an accident?
And in the end, if fear is not removed, inmortality seems like the short end of the bargain, magnificient as it is.
