why does flying feel like that when youre dreaming? why is it so hard to stay dreaming when youre start flying? only a couple times have i managed to fly for any length of time usually as soon as it starts happening i wake up
Try spining with eyes closed. Its a cool dream affect/effect too.
>>42160452yeah i used to do that a lot when i was a kid when awake
>>42160407It's hard to stay asleep when you're falling*when you're flying, you're in control.I've done it many many times. You just go where you want to go.You kind of get to where you want pretty fast, and then you can float around like a Minecraft admin.Doesn't feel like anything really, the equivalent of walking - you just kind of do it.Have done many more non-human feats as well, like crumpling someone up like wrapping paper. They deserved it.It's falling and dying that wake me up anyway
>>42160407>he doesn't know how mana worksYou spend quite a bit if flying. So I cheat. Instead of moving my body away from the world, I move the world away from my body.
>>42160407Brain hemispheres, the left hemisphere is like your logical 3D side, and the right hemisphere is more free and imaginative, It's your own left hemisphere waking you up and telling you that flying is wrong.

>>42160407I fly frequently within my dreams, I don't know how, it just happens. Does everyone get the same sensation? It's a bit hard to describe, but it feels like a middle ground between levitating and jumping. It's less like flying like a bird and more like just moving across space without resistance. When I have these dreams often there's some element telling me that it is not possible to fly, but then some other element, either interior or exterior (if that distinction even makes sense), tells me that it is possible and just do it. Afterwards it's natural. In general I can achieve things that many think are not possible in dreams. Punching, for example. Whenever people talk about fighting in dreams it's often in the context of being unable to put force behind the punches, but to me its the opposite. Another thing I can achieve within dreams is to die and keep the dream going.Usually people report that when you die in a dream you wake up. With my dreams what happens is that time and space just becomes really distorted. The effect I get is, you know how Windows XP would freeze and leave this trail of a window through different frames as you moved it across the screen? Exactly like that but weirder, I don't know how to describe it but time ceases, like everything collapses arround the point of my death. The sensation is similar to levitating in space, but for time.Eventually my dreams just bring me back to life, like it just happens, there's no continuitiy. There's no panic, no flight or fight response, I just go with my own death.
>>42160407Because our souls are weighed down by Earth's gravity even in our dreams.
>>42160407I uncontrollably fly in some dreams and whenever it happens it’s like I’m falling through the air face first at sometimes what feels like break neck speed.I barely get lucid sometimes and usually when I do the dream starts to break down. Thus my conclusion is, lucid dreaming is literally being awake while still in the dream state if that makes sense?
You aren't waking up because you're flying. Lots of lucid dream n00bs think they wake up because they ghost excited or whatever reason. The truth is that your dream was already going to end anyway because there is a time limit. Most people only get lucid at the end of their dream, so they think they woke up from excitement.next time you wake up, stay still and keep your eyes closed and you will re-enter the dream world. after enough experience you will get lucid earlier

>>42160407Playing mario 64 and gmod with noclip binded to V helped me fly in dream I think
>>42164410Yes, I think if you spent time playing a game that involves floating you would start to dream about floating.
>>42160407It feels like drifting or floating. Like a vestibular sensation of weightlessness or bouyancy.
