So ancient cartographers recorded these "Phantom Islands" to have existed but they were later deboonked as being frauds. However modern bathymetry indicates features in the ocean precisely where these islands alledgedly were. Seems like a hell of a coincidence. The normie cope is fata morgana illusion but that shouldn't be a thing considering the fact that these features are 271-340 m underwater. Now we know from modern science Porkupine Ridge used to be a landmass, Doggerland. but got flooded about 9700 B.C. This raises the question of how these cartographers logged these islands fairly accurately. They charted these islands 11,200 years after they flooded? Did they have ancient maps? I know weirder shit happened with the Ottomans having somewhat accurate maps of the Antarctics coast. What are your theories on this? Sea levels were actually lower than we've been told?

>>42162678>Did they have ancient maps?yes, literally, piri reis cartographer that accurately depicts antarctica 400 years before it was discovered, explicitly said that he retraced way older maps that he found in the archives which by themselves were retraces of even older maps.
>>42162997I guess that's your argument for Antediluvian advanced civilizations existing
>>42162678Sea levels rise and fall naturally over time. The mediterranean was emptied out at one point, then it got flooded again. It probably has something to do with Earth's core, the moon, and the poles. But these are rarely dramatic shifts.
>>42162678>Sea levels were actually loweryup. the apex species on this planet, not humans, occasionally brings vast quantities of water back to earth.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloopwas actually a giant ice ball lowered into the ocean. it isn't fair to say it was a comet, since it was artifical, but also nonhuman. the core of the ice ball has various exotic metals they mine from the belts of some of the gas giants, but mostly from the asteroid belt, the former planet between mars and the rest of the outer solar system. the core is solid metal with an ice shell. the impact speed is dependent on the speed at which the ice ball approaches earth from behind the orbit path. they like the clean water in their underwater cities as much as we do, and they need exotic alloys just as much as we do. they have been bringing water to earth for who knows how long, sometimes taking it off. most of the water here was originally from mars, but hey, whatever.source, glowie campfire stories I had during my stint as a zogbot. I wrote posts like this in the submarine cuboid attack thread and occasionally talk about nonmilitary sonar systems as well. cubane propulsion sometimes as well.
>>42163158The bloop was the magnetic pole moving.
>>42163175it can be whatever we want it to be.
>>42162678>modern bathymetry indicates features in the ocean precisely where these islands alledgedly wereLol no.
>>42163175I forgot to mention the part about how they mostly use the pacific ocean in the vicinity of point nemo in the south pacific to enter and exit the planet, since it is far away from us, the exact center of half the earth which is ocean, and all kinds of useful.also, the FL crew wrote about one of the PSVs failing the air/water transition a while back. can't remember which one it was, but I heard that one years before FL wrote about it. scooped.
>>42163183I posted the pictures in the thread you fucking retard
>>42163192>point nemohttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pole_of_inaccessibility#Oceanic_pole_of_inaccessibilitypart of why antarctica is so important is picrel. the apex species/ayys of this planet are located more or less under that location in the pacific. antarctica was their ancestral home long before the icing from the pole shift, so they still have a lot of infrastructure in there.
>>42162997>accurately depicts antarctica 400 years before it was discoveredThese types of comments when they're framed this way (by the arrogant establishment of course) always sound so retarded, presumptuous, pompous and prejudice. If the ancients already had a map of it 400 years before modern dipshits were aware of it, the obviously the later visitors weren't the first ones to 'discover' it.The statement really should be more like " Ancient explorers and cartographers knew of Antarctica 400 years before we ever laid eyes on it"Like modern science man thinks a thing literally doesn't even exist until he personally makes note of it.
>>42162678>Sea levels were actually lower than we've been told?If they were like 200m lower this would have changed literally fucking everything in recorded history so I doubt it.That map isn't the most reliable thing in the world, the islands are just a bit southwest of ireland, west of cornwall and northwest of portugal/galicia, these all have no business being so close together so they're almost useless for pinpointing the location. It also says "islands of the azores" right below them, also west of iberia. The area around the azores is actually full of just-submerged islands, islets and shoals that caused shipwrecks, many are just a few meters below the sea, so I imagine they're more likely to have been in that general vicinity. It'd also explain why they're called "isla de brazil" and "las maydas", not exactly names associated with northern europe
>>42163248>azoresthat's where the apex species/ayys took out the Scorpion. they keep their atlantic fleet active around that area since they still have infrastructure in what used to be called atlantis.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Scorpion_(SSN-589)#Disappearance:_May_1968
>>42163197Ok Bumfuck
>>42162680Those arrows are pointing hundreds of miles west of where the supposed islands would be.I'm not even certain you are lining up the coast right. The old map aligns more like pic related.
