the best and most simple resource ive found is the book reunions by Dr Ray Moody who coined the term near death experience
>Raymond A. Moody Jr.'s book Reunions: Visionary Encounters with Departed Loved Ones (published in 1993) explores methods for the living to intentionally commune with deceased relatives and friends, moving beyond his earlier work on near-death experiences. The central focus is on mirror gazing and the use of a psychomanteum—a dark, controlled chamber modeled after ancient Greek oracles—to induce vivid visions of the departed

cont
>Moody provides a comprehensive history of gazing practices across cultures, including the ancient Greek psychomanteum, the copper mirrors of Tungus shamans, and the water-gazing traditions of the Xhosa people
>The book also includes historical case studies and instructions for building a personal psychomanteum, aiming to legitimize these visionary experiences as a valid tool for self-discovery and healing grief. While Moody seeks to establish a scientific basis for these phenomena, the narrative ultimately highlights the comfort and reassurance these "reunions" provide to the living

Never contacted the ancestors then. They compel me to eradicate our enemies. We will need orbital assets for that.

don't use quartz. clear glass or crystal is fine. something like pic related but cut as an oval. you won't find much of these types of things because they're generally associated with the orient and used in antiquity c. between 100-700+ years ago.
>inb4 why not use quartz
quartz is chargeable and you are going to end up reflecting bad energy into it.
lot of witchy shit involves like cats eye or opals. my best guess would be topaz or sapphire.
as far as I know in ancient egyptian etc temples light would be tunneled through an ankh on a scepter for scrying, and that's about how well lit you would probably want. otherwise, by oil light. or carbide/halogen if you want bad shit to happen to you. sodium halide is probably fine.

just stay away from mirrors. it's probably best if you don't have a mirror in your place which is why you likely want black. it suggests any amount of conceit. I've heard of people using CDs/DVDs back in the day for scrying.
