But it is likely in the Kingdom of Israel era when it was compiled first in hebrew, around the times where the other wisdom books (Psalms, Job, Ecclesiastes, etc.) were attributed to the kings David and his son Solomon. As for the historic books (Kings and Chronicles) it should logically have been written after the fall of the united Kingdom, maybe once they were captive in Babylon.
