Oh? I saw YouTube videos in my dreams. Actually once, I saw myself using my laptop for over 6 months while my mom watched a channel day after day.
In my dream i finally watched and it was this black girl who was pretty cool and funny and I began to watch it too, and it was such a realistic and loooong dream, that even when I knew that I am waking up, I still thought I can go watch her channel right after.
And I also had multiple dreams where I dream of my crush texting me on my phone and I responded back etc
So I don’t know what the hell is wrong with these npc who aren’t able to integrate tools to their dreams
>>
>>42170960
That was patched after someone made a phone call from a dream to the waking world.
>>

holy shit, we found a real one.

>cell phones never show up in our dreams
what? this isn’t true at all - quite some time before 2020 and well after that i was having dreams about my fucking phone. it was usually getting broken or lost in a body of water, but i’ve had a bunch of phone dreams, and will prob have one tonight because of this thread. op is a fag and npc

Me too. In the most recent one I tried to take a picture of a store that had a Garfield facade made of neon lights which I found extremely funny but when I finally got my phone out the neon lights had turned off.
I've also had dreams where I've been doom scrolling on my phone.

We don't have dreams about phones if we don't view them as part of our identity. If you view it as a tool to do things then it's just as being befuddled that you're not dreaming about a hammer.

I assume zoomers and gen alpha would dream about phones and ipads since they grew up with them gripping the devices all day
>>
>>42171050
>Grim as fuck.
Yeah it sucked ass but the Garfield one was a fun one. It was one of those long dreams that had a convoluted story. It was set during a zombie apocalypse and I was roaming around in this empty parking lot at night and came across a bunch of stores.

i do ponder tech in dreams. i've had a few cellphone dreams (i have flip). in the astral meeting halls - an indoor wooden place where everyone has their faces blurred, and it's kind of a maze of waiting rooms with basic furniture, AND a tiny indoor train station -
i see blurred-faced people looking at smartphones. but visits to that realm are very brief. and you can't always make out the person who wants to meet you, they might jumble their words.

anyway, if tech appears in my dreams, usually it's the win95 linux lookin retro PC's in underworld, which also has curly-corded office phones and incandescent light. or wacky lookin mid 2005-ish tech with wavy clear neon green casing or other stuff that looked like it would be marketed to 12 year olds in 2002, but actually with the sophistication of serious tech devices for working adults.

wasn't there recently a greentext posted of married anon's dream within a dream, where he dream1 dreamt that his wife got a phone call, and then he woke up in dream2, and in bed his wife was answering her phone, and then she got all weird or smth, icr, drawin a blank here... and then it turns out in dream2 wife was talking on the phone to her dream self from dream1...

I dunno, but I've never dreamt of televisions in my dreams either. I have had cars and planes in my dreams (either driving or flying in one) but I've never had a TV in a dream.
Oddly, I've had dreams where I bought a new video game that was everything I ever wanted and tried desperately to find it and play it, but never could.
>>
>>42171031
Strange, I had very similar dreams, where I've tried taking a picture but it fails,. or I take a picture in my dream and wake up frustrated because I'm unable to show it to real people. Wonder what that's supposed to mean.

I think it has to do with reliance or affinity for the device despite how much or how little it's used. I grew up without one and never needed it, computers yes, but I've never had phones in my dreams. but currently it is used for information and entertainment as well as general communication. I think it's more to do with how one is entangled with it. If you really use it for socials or it's heavily required by your career/personal life, it'll be more prevalent in your dreams. I often forget where mine is, hence creating phone spots that I remember more than the phone itself. So never lost, just placed somewhere I know to look. So again I think its more about perception/usage/affinity.
>>
>>42171617
whenever i had vg inspired dreams, there was no tv middleman, just my awareness as 3rd person viewer, familiar vg protag avatar optional. it was basically "super extremely highly detailed customized mod for gen5 game".

recently i had a very realistic dream that took place at a busy airport terminal. i've had a few dreams with airport terminals, sometimes merged with other large buildings, but this one was realistic and busy. there were shops with peculiar items for sale.
i passed by what looked like restrooms, but one was labeled "myname room". i paused and really considered taking a photo, but then i got distracted by someone requesting my assistance. i also wondered if the "myname room" would appear to anyone else as "theirname room", and wanted to take a photo to show to someone else and ask them what the room was called. but i never got around to it.

>airport terminal
Oh wait. You reminded me of a dream I had a few days ago that took place in an airport as well, except it was deserted. I went inside and took pics of various things laid there, and one of them was a cake (lmao). I then quickly got out because the atmosphere made me nervous. I often have dreams of abandoned places tho.
I get what you say about dreams where you're interrupted in the middle of something, I'd say it comes from an underlying feeling of frustration but I'm not sure.

The evolution of consciousness is slow, as is physical evolution.
We are so genetically similar to our ancient ancestors that if you brought an ancient roman at the time of his birth to the modern present, he would end up like us, probably shitposting in an extremely mundane and uninteresting way. Vice versa, we would have had no concept of higher technology if we were born then, and we would do as romans do.
Noticeable evolution happens over the course of millions of years in most cases. We have barely evolved at all. We are still using the same caveman hardware as cavemans, which is why the average person is still not content living in glenndale world. His instincts reject that world on some level, they seek the challenges they would have faced were they born in the wild.

All of this is to say, the only reason we are "advanced" as we are is because of our ability to pass information down generationally. Most of us work with shit every day we cannot truly subconsciously fathom.

Phones appear in my dreams quite often but they have abilities which real phones don't. Like, normally your phone is fixed dimensions, like a 4.5" x 8" phone or whatever. But in my dreams by stretching the edges or pressing the edges you can stretch or shrink your phone, so you can have a small phone or a big tablet etc.
>>
>>42173686
daaang, i never encountered that feature in my dreams with tech. next time my "familiar personal communications device" appears, perhaps in some wacky 2000's wavy neon clear plastic form, i'll see if i can stretch it out.

When I took too much benadryl on purpose I was lying sick on the floor with a stomach ache. I got up on the couch and browsed my phone and watched youtube videos for like an hour. I swear to God, I read in a dream recently. While the sentences as a whole didn't make sense, I 100% saw words in English.
>>
>>42170960
I have had plenty of dreams with cell phones in them.
>>
>>42177767
I was just about to post that last night I had the first dream I've ever had where I could clearly read and understand something.
I was driving home on what kind of looked like the street I live on, I looked to my right at one of the houses, and in huge letters someone had spray painted "(my first and last name) smokes cannabis".
That was the only part of it I could read, but then on subsequent houses driving along, there were other things about me, and I felt really uneasy that for some reason stuff about me was being plastered everywhere. After that, I didn't arrive at home, but some big garage/facility where I guess I lived now, and I was trying to read something else on a computer that was also about me. After that I don't remember.
On topic for the thread, I don't think I've had a cell phone dream, but I don't remember a lot of my dreams. Occasionally they are very vivid, and I do cross into lucid territory for brief moments, and feel like I'm present in that reality, always trying to piece together what's happening.
>>
>>42170960
You know, I don't think I ever had a dream involving a smartphone, but I have had ones with my old flip-phone from when I was in college. Usually there's some batshit world-ending thing going on and I'm panicking because I, obviously, can't access the family group chat on it.

Phones are just the format/medium we consume and experience content from. It's hard to dream about phones but easy if it's something within them.
Not to mention modern phones are basically black rectangles glass slabs with minimal bezels.

I never use my cellphone really. But I use my computer tons. It's weird af that I never use a computer in my dreams now that you got me thinking about this stuff. No TV's neither. never had trouble with reading in dreams but i do have a limited capacity to multitask ie. can't hear and see at the same time and if there's excessive talking there will be massive fog inside or it will be dark or my glasses will be gone, same with running. my text dreams are just the phone/pc screen when I'm reading and i wonder if the brain even bothers generating the background. or i pick it up and know what's on the screen but don't remember how it looked like after waking up so it's possible I've never seen it at all just inferred knowledge straight from the device. but i had dreams with fully rendered text, 4chan even
another thing that gets sacrificed in about every dream is that layouts of the buildings never match irl and I'm not sure it's even consistent in the same dream but purely visually they can get quite realistic and detailed when there's nothing else going on
I'm the guy who woke up from a notification checking nightmare half an hour ago btw >>42183003
find imagining stuff while awake works the same but with more bandwidth ie. can't imagine myself to be a quarduple amputee who's reading text but i can imagine all these things separately. thank you for reading my blog

>>42170960
just woke up from 2 different dreams just now with tech.
1: i was in a crowded school like area with lots of 10yo kids and some adults who were staff or hired on. some of the kids were unpleasant. i get home and "my tablet", which is plain shiny black & chrome goes off, the tablet got a message from my irl cousin and the teblet itself responded to the txt with "i'm myname XP x3" or smth. i got annoyed because i didn't want my tablet to respond as me to txts using a voice i wouldn't use. that dream went to some slow pan-back view with a bunch of mechanical whirring. when i woke up i realized i didn't have this tablet.

2: at a refurbished remote cabin, packed with party people. several clusters of people from elderly to including small children. towards the end an old asian guy who seemed really hardass and serious, and younger asian people who seemed to work for him. turns out these were the catering guys, and in addition to foods, they put out flimsy wooden decorations that triggered an "augumented reality" when you took a digi photo of them. the irl wooden decors would remain as was, but i accidentally broke one that looked like a building. the phone cam view would show them animate and have flairs.

NTA, but I sort of have. Reposting from another thread:
Is it possible to catch a sleep paralysis/dream bothering entity from someone else? I've struggled with my own, it was pretty hardcore for a time (not very frequent but intense) but it's pretty much gone away.
Then recently I stayed at a friends house. He's pretty stupid, he just smokes weed, watches media and listens to rap music, seems mainly into "black" stuff these days, plays as black guys in games etc.
I stayed at his house and have had a couple of SP/false awakening incidents since with an entity that seems black (it's weird, I don't exactly a black dude but can just tell this thing is a nigger, I seem to be unable to dream of black people so it's trying its best) but it's really weak. It seems surprised and helpless when I stand up to it. The first time I encountered it was while sleeping in this guy's spare room. I was having a weird nightmare, started as some party and me getting friendly with and kissing some girl but then fast forward, somehow I got cut, then I had this weird hernia growth type thing on my belly, usual nightmare shit. Then this nigger started laughing at me talking about like nigger cuck shit, I'm single but in the dream I was into this girl (who isn't real). I started getting threatening with it, going to fight it, and it shrank and looked terrified and backed away, like it wasn't expecting it. Then it was gone.
(Cont. in next post.)
>>
>>42188332
PT2:
A day or two later, at home, I 'woke up' and it was lying on top of my bed covers pinning me down, and I just grabbed it by its neck chain and threw it aside off the bed. I could get up then, but it was a false awakening. It got boisterous again and acted like it was going to fight about me throwing it, but then when I stood up to it keen to fight, it bailed down the stairs. I went down to the bathroom (it's downstairs from my room) to wash my hands because I'd touched a nigger (still actually a dream but felt real at the time, it had a horrible sweaty neck) and then it decided to approach the door in a threatening way (I guess I could hear it and it was trying its best to give off a menacing aura). I didn't even stop washing my hands and just calmly waited for it to open the door so I could give it a good beating but it just went quiet outside the door.
When I was done, I opened the door and it was gone. Then I went back up to my room, and it instead sent/appeared as some huge muscular deformed (like one of those corprus monsters from morrowind) white guy but I just started punching it in the face repeately (I do boxing) and it stumbled back down onto the stairs. It didn't look like it was in pain exactly, it just looked shocked and confused and had the 1000 yard stare. It just stopped moving and stood there, looking defeated. No nightmares since.
Did I catch an entity from my friend that just wasn't prepared to deal with me? He has joked about watching black porn a long time ago to some pretty damning responses from all involved and never mentioned it again, and he likes rap and ice cube movies and shit so this thing was probably having an all you can haunt buffet with him and got too cocky.
>>
>>42188339
And update:
It has been back a couple of times, usually just before waking up. It stopped trying to be threatening because I'd just immediately start punching it if it did, not even in lucid control, it's just what would happen in the dream, and it would shrink away and flee. I have a lot of fighting dreams anyway from doing boxing, but some I can tell were the niggerdemon. I still never get a "good" look at it but I'm pretty sure I've seen flashes of afros and dark arms.
It started instead trying to play on my emotions with heartbreaking scenes of blacks facing hardship, sort of have dream characters telling me blacks have had a rough time, and I would just dismantle it's statements with my own sound arguments, again, not lucidly, and it would just give up and go away again. Things haven't been easy for the niggerdemon.
It's quite rare, probably had 5-6 encounters altogether, usually when I wake up and then go back to sleep, and then have almost woken up again.
