hello kyle, you know what i'm gonna do tomorrow? i'll hit the gym, riding there with my bike, so i'm warmed up and can work out straight away. deadlifts and squats did really increased my strenght. that being said, i really think jesus loves me cause i've never experienced real evil things. why don't you just hit the gym too? really thinking about roids lately....
>>42171317doesn't seem like you got a lotta evidence there buddy
>>42171317>Got any of the old fags on right now?Sitrep. Expect me to read any of this shit in detail?!
>>42171370https://fas.org/publication/navy_mind_control/Yep, not the kind of shit they'd ever get up to at edwards.
>>42171317>old fagshey, kyle... let's have a chat. I am going to go ahead and endorse your claims and credentials towards the work you did and reply that I too had a fun time with the sf86 and left as an IS1 and did time as a filthy contractor.it would behoove you (and I know you know what that means) to dial back your vetbro thing. whether or not your stories are true, the audience sees it as a grift. at best, the audience sees it as another vet wanting to share his slice of the story... while most often they see you the same as all the other vetbros on the webs- looking to cash out on some stuff they did when they were in.man, here's the thing, that shit always backfires. I mean always. I chat about some shit a lot, but nothing operational, and certainly nothing without a news release I can point to already. on top of that, tacking your own name on is a big no no not even for security concerns, but it violates that thing the seals just cannot keep from fucking up is tacking their name onto the story. it is like an inverse stolen valor, if you know what I mean. by all means, share what you can in the most generalized possible way to not violate the old rules of compromising people still in the game and the field, but try to dial it back a bit my man.if you aren't careful, some old glowie like me is going to find your gooner account on pornhub and mid-size cock selfies and put it all out to the public the moment you get a super cool job. rugpull, bitch.ok? good chat.
>>42171601What vetbro thing?
>>42171622its just a term, my dude. it is the label being hung on these guys who do something cool in the military, get out, and then figure out how to either get a podcast thing, maybe a speaking tour, a book, maybe a tv shows episode of some kind. it breaks some pretty foundational rules about profiting from warfare which go back centuries. despite what we have been told, raping and pillaging was not the most common way to pay soldiers, nor was it some preposterous bullshit about paying them in salt is why we call payments salaries.with the exception of situations where someone writes a book from an academic perspective about their direct experience in a huge situation, but in the greater context. take for examplehttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thucydideshe was the action hero version of a man back then. when he wrote about the Peloponnesian War, he was explicit that it was from his narrow viewpoint and it was more important to consider the wider scope. it is impossible to do that and the "hey guys, my name is vetbro and this one time at boot camp..." thing at the same time. consider also, that when people write books or somesuch from those life experiences, they generally donate a huge amount of the money, and public attention, to a common cause charity. that isn't here.all that makes for fuel to use against you in the never ending popularity contest. civilians despise a veteran telling "me me me" stories, no matter how true.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Kyle#Murderthat's what jumped up and bit him.
>>42171730and I will also mention HR McMaster herehttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H._R._McMasterhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dereliction_of_Duty_(book)as a good example of telling civilians about what it is like "on the inside" or "behind the curtain". its just that it has to be set in the broader context, not some slice-of-life sort of thing where the veteran is the star of the show. they hate that shit, for a good reason. it feeds their view of a dumbfuck hubristic military. whic it is, but hey.either way, one excellent litmus test is whether or not the message being delivered is one of making the military look super cool and fun, or as McMaster did, naming names specifically about how they fucked up, repeatedly, and how shit rolls downhill and just the same as the bystander effect, a military and nation can get tricked into going to a war of attrition, and how everyone will just go along with it once enough momentum is built, damn the consequences or the truth.that is a more valuable message to tell the civilians about the military than just some shit you did one time.
