Cryptids are paranomal and I want to discuss them, share resources, and so forth. Does anynoe have any good websites, youtube channels, or books to recommend?
>>42171861maybe you should start OP. What are your sources and recs? last time I effort posted for a cryptid thread no one else shared.
>>42171869I don't have any. Yeah same, nobody seems to have any resources, but I see cryptid threads every once in a while. I just never see resources being posted either. It's a shame. I'm sorry, I just, I want to learn about them but I was hoping /x/ could give me better directions than an AI.
>>42171893thinker thunker is a good channel for Bigfoot analysis imo idk what you mean by resources tho, its not like there will one stop shop for such a thing. Bernard Heuvelmans is a good author for both land and sea cryptids. in the time of ai and TikTok, a lot less credible to try and watch compilations of “unexplained _____” whatever like she monsters, lake, woods etc. but can still find some things that make you go huh. To me, this is the most anomalous footage of unexplained remains of a sea creature because well, whale vertebrae have spikes and these have zero spikes on the sides or any evidence or erosion of them, and the start of the skeleton is either hips or a jaw but either way… wtf is it? Huge either way https://youtu.be/bG8RGh1TNlA?si=1ldPNlbn0k_LUdwoand here is my personal fav Bigfoot video because wtf is a Bigfoot family doing out there (thinkerthunker does a good limb proportions thing and covers this one at one point too) this was just a Yellowstone cam, notice how quickly it gets pulled and shut down once the Bigfoots appear. https://youtu.be/gRHtI3LkDjw?si=fot-u3bPCh-YvDEV

>>42171944thank you this is exactly what I needed, you are based and chadI'm gonna start compiling a list of this stuff in case anyone else shares anything before the thread pops, that way if there's future threads like this, I'll be readyI really think cryptids are by far the most interesting sub-topic of paranomal stuff because, at least potentially, the invesigation could lead to the discovery of some new species or a natural phenomenon that wasn't explained before, so you at least have something tangible you can show for your effort.
you guys ever heard the sierra sounds? supposed to be bigfoot https://youtu.be/VGfIIjN-P7o?si=W_XPbt_XutgnSs5r
>>42171861Lil water bill on YT makes excellent job in cryptozoology
>>42173400holy shit this is actually great, thank you
>>42171861That pic ain't no cryptid, that's an Eldritch horror beast of an Old One.
>>42171861The invisible enemy and parasite.
>>42171861cryptids aren't even real though
>>42183886doesnt matterinvestigation into them may lead to fruitful discovery of new unclassified species or unexplained natural phenomena
>>42183886>>42183886cryptids that have been found to be real: coelacanth orangutans giant squid okapi komodo dragons megamouth sharkgorilla narwhal pandas there are more but mostly rare deer, small rodents and insects, rare birds
>>42183886>cryptids aren't even real thoughMany animals used to be cryptids, until holly science said they existed. Your grandpa believed giant squids weren't real. Your great-great-grandpa believed gorillas weren't real.
