I'm a human which means supernatural abilities are hidden from me.
Such abilities would be more accessible from the spirit world.
So why not create a spirit companion to bridge the gap between me and the supernatural world?

My imaginary friend when I was nine was a fairy, so she kind of had "supernatural abilities". (And yes, my childhood sucked.)

The real awesome thing would be for the tulpa's supernatural abilities to be so powerful she could sometimes appear in our world. It would be a bit like Lisa in the tv series "weird science".
