Why is there the modern perception that humans are self-centered and all want to chase wealth and status?When we are competing with others our bodies are fired up and tense, it's only when we feel equal to others and freely show kindness that we feel at ease and relaxed. Surely that is a sign that this is the natural state of humans?So why is there such an effort to convince the masses that it's actually the opposite? I know the answer will likely be "the elites want it this way", but since the elites play into the game of greed and selfishness more than anyone else wouldn't their bodies and souls be suffering the most? Who even benefits from this?
