A lot of people asks " What happens after our Death? " But why no one asks " What happened before our birth? " Is it not concerning that we don't know where our existence came from but we wanna know that where does it go?
>>42184599I remember an old bob larson special where nikolas schreck and lavey's daughter were gonna be interviewed in the church. In the introduction larson mentioned they believed in "spiritual pre-existence," then paused and turned to give all the attendees the most incredulous stupid look, then repeated himself with added emphasis. It was pretty much most people handle the idea of life *before* birth.
>>42184684>spiritual pre-existenceI mean if you believe in reincarnation or nonlinear multi-incarnation, then this tracks. Outside of what we call space and time, it's just the eternal now so before and after don't really have much meaning there. People see time as a linear progression of events, a beginning, a middle, and an end. But in reality, time is more of a big ball of... NOPE! NOT DOING IT! But seriously, people think of the incarnation cycle as: you are born and then you are a kid and then you are a teenager and then you are an adult and then you are an old person and then you die and then you are born again and then blah blah blah etc. When in reality, at the "end" of your life, you are immediately reconnected with all the other "past" and "future" lives you are simultaneously experiencing. Much like the origin of the universe, since the big bang was the nexus of creation from which spacetime itself expanded and continues to expand, people wonder what was "before" it. But as any astrophysicist will tell you, there was no before. Because time itself has the beginning there at the Big bang along with space because it's all one continuum. So maybe a better term would be "outside" rather than "before". I'm sure a certain significant percentage of people reading this will be rolling their eyes at this point as I fall into the trope of so many pseudo intellectual spiritualists who try to use our current cosmological model and understanding of physics to somehow validate their own spiritual belief. Maybe that's what I'm doing. I see it more as parallel. And of course I'm fully willing to acknowledge that I might be just fucking wrong about all of it. But for me personally, that's where the whole, "Where were we before we were born?" thing becomes irrelevant to me. It's all part of the cycle. Now the anti-demiurge crowd is going to come out and start talking about samsara and escaping the endless torture and all that and maybe there's something to that IDK
I remember being born. I was flying through a portal like one of those hyper dimensional wormholes. It ended at my mother’s vagina.
whatever you want it to be lil broin the meantime fold your laundry and put away the dishes
>>42184599I just assumed this was my first life.
(only found pic in Brazilian Portuguese ;-; )>>42184599Past lifes from reincarnation. What comes before all the past lifes you may ask? The creation of your spirit by god. Before that, the 'energy' that is used to create your spirit is channeled first through minerals, then vegetation, then animals, and finally human levels of morality which would be your spirit. (Levels may be represented by different physical types depending on planet and vibration, but this is the standard order)Before that? I cannot tell. The human mind is neither capable or meant to learn the lore of the universe so deeply, but perhaps in some reincarnation we will have the privilege of knowing.
>>42185769So you're seeing your soul didn't enter your body until right before you popped out? I guess that means abortion's okay after all!
