Hello /x/,This is my first time posting anything on this site, so bear with me. I kind of feel like I need to share this because it's really freaked me out. For context, I'm living relatively deep in the woods in Canada. It's a 15 minute walk to the nearest neighbor on my road and a 1 hour drive to the nearest small town.A couple nights ago, I was lying in bed, pretty baked on some THC oil. I was looking out the window and watching the stars as I listen to music. That was, until something started obscuring a big patch of them. I let my eyes adjust a bit more and saw... a deer, looking in at me. It looked wrong somehow, but I couldn't tell how right away because my brain wasn't working very quickly. The first thing that I noticed was that it was the size of a moose, and looked stockier compared to a normal deer's head. It's definitely not a moose though, I've seen those before. Then, I remembered that my window is 7 feet off of the fucking ground because my house is raised, and the thing was looking down at me, placing it at about 9 feet tall.I just stared back at it until it noticed that I saw it, and it lurched backwards. I sat up in time to see it running away. It looked like a doe, but wrong in many ways:-It had very long and knobbly legs-It had a hunched back, almost like someone forcefully compressed it into an arch shape-It had horribly matted fur-It was covered in large scars, growths, and lumps-It was quite stocky and muscularThe run looked awkward. It seemed like it didn't properly know how to use its legs, but was shockingly fast, maybe 40kph. My hound dog can run at that speed, and it looked to run at the same speed as he does.I had been mildly paranoid about something watching me at night, but had brushed it off, thinking it was just anxiety.Any ideas what it might be? Pic unrelated, just a normal deer.

There’s one where the thing imitates a car alarm in the rain that I always fucking remember whenever it’s 2am, raining out, and I step out front for a smoke.Skin walker, wendigo? One of those. In any case, they smell like shit and will try to fuck you up. They don’t seem to damage property and don’t seem capable of setting traps beyond simple ambush. I’d go ahead and assume they can imitate noises very accurately and get visual confirmation on things before you get drawn outside into the dark. Really just don’t be out there with it at night or twilight and you should be fine. Book it if you smell the decay in daylight
>>42219914deer near me get wasting diseases (just as remote/rural as you but in the US), we are warned it can go to livestock and pets. they look a lot like what you describe but obvi not as big. maybe it was a female moose with wasting disease. there is also the not deer stories and pasta i would assume you are familiar with op?
