I keep seeing a black cat with bright green eyes on my daily night walks I do after meals. Its always very attentive and its a wild cat. It hunts for mice and rabbits nearby but it doesn't seem bothered by me passing near him. Always extremely focused on his surroundings.What could the sighting of this cat mean?

It's a normal wild cat behaviour; it hunts smaller creatures - and leaves bigger things - like you for example, alone (maybe it'll consider you as its mother if you feed it well enough)

You probably got shortly observed, were considered a non-threat and as you did not feed it also not important enough to be exploited, so you basically don't exist in the cats world
