NTA but that image you used was posted for the first time on 4chan by me, if you can believe it. Ironically, I posted it in a thread about a rocket launch in /g/ or /sci/ (I forgot which).

Scientists have discovered hematite (a form of iron oxide or rust) at the Moon's poles, a puzzling finding since the lunar surface lacks oxygen and water. Researchers believe oxygen from Earth's upper atmosphere is transported by solar wind across 240,000 miles to the Moon, oxidizing surface iron...

Hematite's name is derived from the Greek word haimatites (blood-red stone) or haima (blood)

"The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord." ACTS 2:20

I processed about a thousand frames to create this image! It took me several days of processing to get the details and colors right.

Normally we see the Moon as gray. Here I intentionally increased the saturation of the Moon to reveal the mineral composition of its surface. In lunar seas, reddish-brown hues indicate iron oxide and blue hues indicate titanium oxide. Purple areas may represent areas of mixed composition.
In addition, I was able to show the unilluminated side of the Moon with the HDR technique of stitching together several frames at slower shutter speeds.

I used an old Canon 550Da amateur camera with a Baader astronomical UV/IR cut filter, a 2x Barlow lens, a GSO 150/750 reflector telescope, and an Arsenal EQ5 mount. I also used a Canon 6D camera to capture the deep color of the mineral deposits on the lunar surface.

Anyone have that webm of the 2020 moon ships?

^You know the one. I hear it was taken from France, three little specks flying from the light side to the dark side
