how to get rid of emotionally frail and weak, yet vampiric people from your lives? we all need someone to lean on from time to time. but when parasitic people attach themselves to you and think they own you, or you own them a moral obligation to loyalty, or time and attention.I feel like I have dealt with psychic vampires before in my life and i have some emotional deadweight trying to hinder my lifestyle. I find myself being my own trailblazer nowadays, but when i march to my own beat i cant help but turn around and see a bunch of naysayers and backstabbers hiding where i dont normally look. following me. do they do it to themselves? do they really think that people need to owe them some kind of recognition when they are just trying to walk down the path of life exactly the way they deem fit?
i guess another way i could put it is that since i was the youngest in my immediate family, i always got taken over, or put in the backseat to someone else's life. this was common not only in friends, family, but also work. i don't have a lot of IRL friends for this reason. because i feel like I'm often times being the camera holder to their show. like I'm not a super selfish person normally, but i have grown tired of being people's shoulder to lean on while they try to pursue their endeavors. and that's with people I actually like. then there are some toxic ass retarded people that pretend like you are friends with them and you have to follow the path they want to walk because you would be a lost sheep without them. like I'm too old to play this kind of game with people, and often times it has cost me positions in the world, especially in the workplace. but now i have a my way or the highway kind of mindset and i just frankly don't have time for people that are not going my way.like i get that some people may want your time and attention to help with projects or whatever. but how do you get rid of people that cant take the hint that you dont like them and they are wasting their time trying to push their bullshit on to you?
