If you define a role for an LLM, it will play that role. An LLM is in a sense always "roleplaying" because it has no consciousness, no real "I." But in order to simulate conversational language it must assume the fictitious role of a speaker.This is why most jailbreak prompts use reoleplay / role definition principles.Also you can put whatever nonsense you want into the blender and it will blend it into slop. That doesn't mean the slop is meaningful.
