My reading on this topic is there are good and bad ones. Some of them are more skilled than us and use their skills to manipulate us. Reading obscure books on the topic seems to suggest they are kinda scared of us which is why they control us but over the years some got drunk on power and went bad. Who knows though. If it's all real, and there are multiple types then they would probably be more advanced in certain areas than us, just to get here. But humans are far from perfect and there are a handful of people you could trust in the world with something like, nukes for example. So I guess they just control us so we don't destroy the planet. But then some realise how much they can control us and suck rednecks up into spaces to anally finger them occasionally.
