This is my third thread on the topic, I've condensed it down.
I used to be a cameraman / editor for a YouTuber with a small but sizeable following. Everything changed when he was invited to VidCon last year and brought me along as he didn't want to fly and wanted a buddy to ride with him so he wasn't lonely. We arrived at this house with other YouTubers/content creators and I was denied entry because I 'wasn't invited'. On the wall facing the door was a symbol drawn in some marker (see picrel). I had to sleep in the car and was frequently watched by some dude who seemed pissed off at me. There was a room emitting red light but he'd yell at me and tap the glass if I so much as glanced at the house. This Kevin MacLeod type instrumental music was also playing from somewhere.
This lasted two more days, with my friend becoming more withdrawn and quiet as the days gone on. He used to be a person unafraid of conservation, but he seemed to dread it now. On the last day, he ditched me completely and I only saw him the next morning, when we had to leave. The ride home was like hell. I tried to ask him about his experience but he would just reply in simple terms (IE 'It was fine') before brushing me off or just ignoring me. His behavior back home was like a different person. He started drinking, which is something he did on occasion in the past but now he was functioning like an alcoholic. He began to lock himself in his room and would only come out once a day (if we were lucky).
He moved out at the end of last month with no notice. We checked his room and nothing was left beside a similar symbol drawn in Sharpie on the wall near his bed.

He's still uploading videos, albeit more frequently and with an expression that's a fusion between tiredness and anger that's began to dissapate into a sort of over-exaggerated happiness like a YouTuber's persona. I hope he's okay, but I have no clue where's he at now and I doubt he'd let me in if I came to his new location.
