Tell me about the Outer Darkness. It's really one of the most fascinating concepts to me. I remember once asking if it was the same as Nirvana and some people said that it was.

Not sure what you mean but anyone who told you black holes are anything more than masses with enough gravity to trap light is bullshitting you. ESPECIALLY pop scientists.

The mysticism of a black hole come from us not being able see inside. Since light cant escape it. That's it. We have no fucking clue what it looks like inside, but it's probably just a form of mass we haven't seen.

It's not a magic portal(wormhole), and the only thing it "projects" is it's mass in tiny amounts of radiation. Slowly dissipating into nothing over eons.
